someone on twitter said the linesmen rewatched the "goal" on the screen behind the goal and with the players in his face disallowed it The irony being that the replay confirmed it wasn’t a foul to me when I wasn’t sure on first look. Correct keeper is very soft and has already lost control of the ball before Horsfall takes control of it.

Long time reader, first time poster. I am related to Matty ov Rio, and apologise in advance for any typos and pisspelling. Think we should go all out for this game. Paddy deep, pulling the strings and Tanto and Stratton running the channels. Though I think Tanto would benefit from studying old vids of Adam Le Fondre. Hippo and Rydel constantly switching wings with the occasional doubling up to overload one wing. Looking forward to waving a flag again on the art gallery steps as the open top bus goes past-hopefully not as fast this time. Come on County! Ban this joker immediately! Casting dispersions on my spelling indeed,

Yep . But you need to have a shot on goal to score a goal . Piss poor that at home They had 1 shot on target, the same as Northampton 10 shots Tranmere 12 shots Northampton haven't we had multiple games this season where we've had 16 shots but only 1 or 2 on target

Not what I was hoping for. but as Northampton took care of business, the result really didn't matter. Playoffs it is then, with a pretty good chance to get promoted. Definitely missing Wootten up front. I know there is a lot of "If only" (like our very slow start to the season) but all things considered, if you had offered Playoffs at the beginning of the season, I'd have taken it. All you can ask for is a chance. We go again.

Shit start and those few draws we should’ve won put paid to our season. But as I keep saying we’ve not looked near our best this season, so got to be happy with the POs in the end.

One thing about this season is the league has been shocking, even if you see what other clubs fans have said they have all been bad. No one really has blown me away. Next season there are about 3 or 4 more teams that have money and will probably spend so if we don't go up we have to spend no matter what. I can see a couple of fan favourites not being first choice next season with a couple not at the club

That was a weird atmosphere today, can only put it down to the early Northampton goal.
Hatters 83 display was absolute class, well done to everyone who helped set it up.
Thought we were off it but still good value for a win, far too many shots that would’ve gone in any other day. Goal mouth scramble around the 70 minute seemed to last an hour or so, felt like the twilight zone.
Olaofe gets better every game for me, his harrying of players, eagerness to get one the ball and his speed will be f*cking lethal once he gets his first touch sorted.
Paddy made such a difference the minute he came on and I hope we start with him on Saturday with Stretton on to kill them off at half time on Saturday.
Croasdale (again) class today, the way he makes it look so easy I think does him a disservice with the lack of MOTM nods he gets, what a player. Him and Camps together looked good and the ‘gelling’ has well and truly ‘gelled’, really hope we keep most of this squad going into next season.
Every player on the field looked absolutely shagged out. Whatever happens over the next couple of weeks they’ve all earned a week on the piss followed by a couple of weeks rest before getting back into pre-season.

On the squad, if we do not go up totally agree hope we keep the squad together. Don't want wholesale ins and outs. Maybe a long term left sided centre back. I actually like hussey but age 34 he is stop gap Wonder if pye will feature? Done well at gateshead. And some width But if we go up - then I think this squad might struggle at a higher level and considerable strengthening on the cards

Did anyone else get the impression that Jennings was on our side? The penalty, what looked like a deliberate slip when he could have been clean through, passing when a decent opportunity to shoot was on and almost giving away another penalty in the second half. I was worried about him scoring against us before the game but don't think that was ever happening today.

Why would you think that Chesterfield, MK or FG would be any good? Can't see it. Think Accrington under Coleman would be more likely to be good than Forest Green. Think the main threats would be Wrexham, Gillingham, Mansfield, anyone who doesn't go up in the playoffs and possibly MK though.
