Why would you think that Chesterfield, MK or FG would be any good? Can't see it. Think Accrington under Coleman would be more likely to be good than Forest Green. Think the main threats would be Wrexham, Gillingham, Mansfield, anyone who doesn't go up in the playoffs and possibly MK though. aren't forrest Green one of 2 clubs that did back to back promotions from national league to league 1 because of money, okay it's not worked out this season but they might spend big still. If we have to end up playing them I don't know where it is but I hope we take vita airways

Did anyone else get the impression that Jennings was on our side? The penalty, what looked like a deliberate slip when he could have been clean through, passing when a decent opportunity to shoot was on and almost giving away another penalty in the second half. I was worried about him scoring against us before the game but don't think that was ever happening today. Think it's just because he's not a very good football player anymore rather than a conspiracy/double agent!

You might be thinking of Crawley and Stevenage, who both went straight through League Two.

One thing about this season is the league has been shocking, even if you see what other clubs fans have said they have all been bad. No one really has blown me away. Next season there are about 3 or 4 more teams that have money and will probably spend so if we don't go up we have to spend no matter what. I can see a couple of fan favourites not being first choice next season with a couple not at the club League 2 going to be tasty next year : It will have the circus of Wrexham, plus either Notts County or Chesterfield, Forest Green, MK Dons and whoever else is left from playoffs etc. Plus reckon Gillingham will spend and be a force too. I think only Milton Keynes of the sides coming down will be major threats. Add in Wrexham, Gillingham and possibly Notts. Plus any of the playoff sides who aren’t promoted. I’m absolutely not having it that Wrexham will have it all their own way. It’s taken for granted that they will sail through, and while I’m sure they will be very competitive, it’s presumptuous and I think plenty of teams will have something to say about that. If - and it’s a big if - we are in this division next season, I expect us to be challenging for the title and at the very least top three.

Don’t get the argument that the division will be harder next season at all. It’s all much of a muchness and has been since we were last here. As we’ve proven, find some consistency and you’ll be alright. If we’d have found ours 2/3 games earlier we’d be in League 1 tonight. There’s only really Wrexham and Gillingham at this stage who I think will be big threats in terms of spending if we’re still down here. MK have struggled for a couple of years now and seem to be on a downward spiral. Notts - i reckon they’ll lose Langstaff and Rodrigues even if they come up. If it’s chesterfield there’s even less to worry about. Morecambe and Accy will both cut their cloth accordingly. Mansfield need a complete rebuild with their aging squad - will be interesting to see if Clough gets the chance. Then in terms of the other play off teams, you’d expect Bradford, us and Salford to be up there again. Carlisle will probably lose a couple of their best players, so I’d expect them to drop off a bit as well.

If we’d taken the same PPG that we have for the last 36 games and done it for the first 10 games we’d be sat on 90pts. I’m confident with a few quality additions, we won’t have the start we had this season and we’d be right up there.

One or two of those draws or in fact without that shit start and we’d have been up weeks ago. Instead it is what it is.

I keep thinking back to the stevenage game where we were 1 up with minutes left and pressed the self destruct button. We would have been up today if it wasnt for that (and other results, but we really chucked that one away). Im feeling really f*cked off.
