suedehead bot; your daily reminder Ryan Croasdale must start on Sunday. Have a great day! He is absolutely essential, Ryan Croasdale just makes teams better. I have no stats to back this up (I am sure they exist) but we are objectively better when he is on the pitch and objectively worse when Camps is (that doesn’t make him a bad player he just doesn’t do anything for our team in our structure) Rydel is another who just ups the levels, he is by far our most creative player and boy do we miss him when he is injured

As I said said, we're the higher ranked team and therefore the "home team".

suedehead bot; your daily reminder Ryan Croasdale must start on Sunday. Have a great day! Ryan Croasdale's name should be first on the team sheet, every time for me, but I could kinda see the logic of leaving him on the bench on Saturday to start with. He's a brilliant defensive midfielder, in there to break things up and give it to the 'ball players', often passing backwards. I think the idea on Saturday was to be very positive from the off purely because we were behind in the tie. We don't need that on Sunday, so no question, he must start. Although it was an excellent pass from Croasdale to Rydel which led to our opener on Saturday

Although it was an excellent pass from Croasdale to Rydel which led to our opener on Saturday The key pass in that goal was Knoyle calmly playing into Sarcevic(?) who instead of lumping it forward we had a midfielder receiving the ball on the move and facing forward with his head up, who picked out an advancing Croasdale onto Rydel - more of that please

Although it was an excellent pass from Croasdale to Rydel which led to our opener on Saturday personally don't think it was an excellent pass but it was a simple pass that is what we needed. As I'm sure rydel had to stand and wait for it instead of running onto it but also good overlap from hussey. I did like sarcevic role though where he sat deep and collected the ball of the back line and got the ball forward.

I did like sarcevic role though where he sat deep and collected the ball of the back line and got the ball forward. Simple passes are often excellent. It was under heavy pressure and perfectly weighted to allow Hussey to make the underlapping run, which drew the attention of two defenders and gave Rydel the time to place his cross perfectly for Tanto to get to. And regardless of what you think constitutes an excellent pass, my whole point was that it was a positive attacking pass, the opposite of "passing backwards" which the post I was replying to was saying Croasdale usually does.

That was my understanding too, which is why I'm surprised we're on the opposite side to where we were against Dale. Can only assume they've swapped sides for higher placed team in those 15 years.

I have no stats to back this up (I am sure they exist) but we are objectively better when he is on the pitch and objectively worse when Camps is (that doesn’t make him a bad player he just doesn’t do anything for our team in our structure) Rydel is another who just ups the levels, he is by far our most creative player and boy do we miss him when he is injured The midfield which finished the Salford game will be perfect. Sarcevic often divides opinion but he was excellent on Saturday and deserves to start.

The three of them, Croasdale, Collar and Sarcevic are by far the most balanced, creative and dynamic midfield we have had in years; they complement each other’s game perfectly, everyone knows their role (and more importantly is happy on it) and if they are fit enough we must play them on Sunday

Not sure that maybe something they alternate. The three highest placed sides in the divisions- Luton, Sheffield Wednesday and ourselves are all in the East Stand this weekend.
