More ammunition for those like me who thinks the game should have been played somewhere else. Nobody really knows but i,m convinced that number would have been smashed if the game had been played at the etihad, anfield or st.james park. The problem up north is there's no point going for a 40k venue as that's only 3k more each. You may as well go big which means either the two Manchester stadiums, or Newcastle or Sunderland. Goodison, Annfield, Elland Road, Hillsborough wouldn't be big enough.

I feel bad enough having lost at Wembley. Imagine having lost at City to round it all off!? I do agree they should look at a northern venue, but that’s my main argument against it 😂 But we would not have been beaten by city. Anyway they have as much to really do with us as say macc have now and should be taken with far less interest than they do. Shows that they bother us and their local fans. At the moment its better they stay where they are as EP isn,t big enough at the moment for many more. They bother us insofar as Stockport is full of them

Absolutely. I can understand the thinking if families see a load of trouble - there is no way they will want their youngsters near that! I wouldn't blame them for not bringing an under 5, if they've witnessed a load of idiots kicking off. It does come back to a couple of points; firstly the under 5's season tickets have no value (so fans don't care if they are used or not) and secondly, there is no facility to return season tickets that aren't being used. When we met the Club we raised the point about exchanging unused season tickets. It is a tricky one for the Club, as they said on most occasions, the Club are selling out last minute / the day before / on the day, so there's no time for them to do anything. The exceptions would be Hartlepool and Salford (play offs). Some season ticket holders will give their ticket to friends or family, but some are clearly being unused. I hope the Club can find a solution to this. Maybe a fan to fan exchange, where we can swop tickets for face value? I don't think the Club are going to want tickets returned, unless the game is completely sold out - and even then it's just hassle for them. The other issue with the Club's ticketing system is that when you buy away tickets, only the lead name on the season ticket can buy tickets and they have one opportunity. One of the Co-op board members has 19 ST's on their name, so they can't buy any away tickets at a later date. The season tickets need to be linked to individuals - not the lead name. On the flip side, as a youngster seeing it kick off made me want to go even more tbh! The edginess may have an appeal for teenagers, but we're talking about under 5's here! And the reaction of their parents.

Without ground developments coming anytime soon there numbers could actually increase at city as they have more extra capacity than we have.

Back in the 50,s when i started going there wig as no trouble and i pestered my old man to take me. I was a couple of months from my 8th birthday when i was finally allowed to go but even then the season after he would not take me to a big 3rd round full house cup game. My lad was only days off his 5th birthday when he did his first game and spent most of the time watching the crowd and any planes going over. His love for County came came a couple of years later when he understood a bit more what was going on.

It isn't the 1950's where the men went to the football and the women stay at home with the kids. The whole family might want to go and watch the match and that means bringing youngsters along. A youngster might not appreciate the game, until they are a bit older, I wasn't really bothered about football until I was 10, but bringing the kids mean they can do something as a family.

If it's County v Swindon in next years, then it doesn't, so it's back in the position of having multiple grounds on standby which is likely a logistical nightmare, or picking a permanent home for the League 2 Final that's not Wembley, e.g. Villa Park. (and it's only really the League 2 game that struggles to get close to filling it) (and I doubt we'd have taken many, if any, more yesterday to an alternate venue (bar OT or Etihad maybe), as for every person who decided to attend because it was more convenient, they're be another who didn't bother because it's not Wembley)

Play the game the game away from Wembley a load of our day trippers wouldn’t have bothered yesterday. It’s a special place that players and fans want to visit. What they could do is ensure the games aren’t played on a bank holiday when public transport doesn’t go to s*** as much and also make sure games don’t clash with premier league games - so Sky don’t make it a crap kick off time like ours and the championship game.

"Que sera sera....whatever will be will be....we're going to the new National Stadium in a random location" (that's also probably a pain to get to / park for various reasons) Not for me really - I'll take a glamour day out at Wembley. We've been unlucky in truth in that our appearances at the new Wembley have been: 1) Rochdale - poor weather day which dampened it 2) Carlisle - fell in Winter World Cup season, so probably the one time it clashed with the Premier League and Kick Off brought forward I for one was proud watching County at Wembley yesterday, it's your club and they're playing at the National Stadium. Think any moaners should get a grip on this one.

A National Stadium in Birmingham would still be significantly easier for fans to get to, not saying it too wouldn't have issues with travel, trains, parking - but they'd be considerably less than at Wembley. As for not being able to sing, "and we're going to Wembley" that's a really pisspoor argument - other songs would be made up for the new Stadium. For me the pride is in playing at the National Stadium, it doesn't really matter where that Stadium is, so let's make it somewhere that's a lot easier to get to for most fans.

But when I consider why it has nothing to do with the Stadium itself, or that it is in London tbh It’s the cost of getting there, the time it takes, the being of inappropriate size and proportion for many of the games that are held there, the whizzes and bangs and fireworks and DJs and bull shot they feel they have to put on… Special Football Trains for fans, run for convenience not profit, and would solve a lot of those issues for me

The seats are comfy and the view’s good but otherwise it’s just a bland generic modern stadium with a concourse like an airport lounge. Felt weird being surrounded by so many County fans and not being at EP
And the DJ was distractingly incompetent

They couldn't afford to build it in the first place so now that it's there they can't afford to knock it down til they've paid for it. Four year delay in completing it and cost went way over the budget. The FA Cup semi finals have to be there until they've paid down the debts - sixteen years of that so far.
