If we draw the Dog and Duck at home then our second string should be good enough, agreed. But what I don’t want to see is a repeat of the Leicester game last season in the Carabao when we made big changes. Agree on that, even more so as it was early season, seemed pointless to rest so many. They probably went stronger than us in relative terms.

Two different competitions at different times of the season with a far different standard of opponent. You can play a weakened side against the dog and duck without resorting to the one that started the game plus the bench we had at salford.

Lots of Valentine's Day coitus with the subsequent babies being born at 38 weeks? That’s long been my theory Don't downplay the supercharged eroticism of National Homemade Soup Day on Feb 4th.

Promotion from L2 is the only objective. If we can have a good FA Cup run along the way then great, if not then it's one less opportunity for us to pick up injuries. Is it? I don’t doubt it’s a key objective but I wouldn’t be surprised if we’re targeting reaching a specific round in the FA Cup too. We’re obsessed as a fan base about avoiding injuries in cup games, it was the same with the Trophy run in 18/19. We dicked Harrogate and Maidstone from the league above. I’m not having that didn’t do wonders for confidence and belief we could get promoted/get to the Trophy final. How many significant injuries have we picked up in cup games over the years? It's only five years ago but it's a timely reminder of how far we've come when beating Maidstone from the league above was a confidence booster!

Maidenhead we drew away 1-1, and beat 3-2 at home having been 2-0 down. Both teams were a division above us at the time IIRC.

I don’t see any issues with playing 3 a week. Saturday, midweek, Saturday. Not from the comfort of your armchair obvs I’d play 7 games a week for County!

Not from the comfort of your armchair obvs I’d play 7 games a week for County! 100%.. Play for the badge on the front of the shirt, and we'll always remember the name on the back.

Not from the comfort of your armchair obvs I’d play 7 games a week for County! That sums up the difference from fans to players were the only interest the latter have is County whilst they are under contract with them. All we can ask of them is giving 100 per cent in the shirt and become available to play and not hide behind an injury.

Not sure if this will become the official FA Cup thread, but if so, then Alty v Oldham should be a good game tomorrow.
