Notts have conceded very close to twice the number of goals that we have this season, get at them That's what I'm hoping for. Our tactics at home worked against them but I hope we're a bit more adventurous at their place & take the game to them, they definitely have issues at the back for all the pretty football they play & the goal threat they carry they're extremely leaky when put under pressure.

Just a quick question as I saw the possibility of a cancellation or delay of the game mentioned (although after yesterday I would prefer we get the game over with and hopefully take all the points now. Sorry for those experiencing travel issues and lack of tickets). The question is: Are there any hard and fast rules when it comes to Wintry weather cancelling of a match? Temperature, visibility, is it all on pitch conditions, are the fans taken into account? We have a Wintry situation on this side of the pond. Last night one of the NFL games was played (temp at kickoff was -20C for you Celsius people) whereas the game in Buffalo scheduled for 1300 today was pushed back to Monday (a holiday for a lot of people here, so not as big of a deal for ticket holders). Seems that it was done mostly because of public safety, they need the people who would be directing traffic etc available for the public in general for the worst of the storm Buffalo was getting pummeled with 2-3 inches of snow per hour and winds up to 65 mph, KC was just cold for the most part). Now we tend to drive to sports events whereas usually you all can take a train or bus. Do you think that Notts could be cancelled and if so, what would be the main trigger(s)?

It's usually the referee who decides and if the match is in doubt the club will usually get a local referee in to make a call the day before or even on the morning of the match but that's done only in extreme circumstances, next Saturday looks okay with the forecast dry and around 6 degrees so I can't see there being a problem.

Most likely would be the pitch being frozen, very occasionally games over here get called off for public safety, can’t remember it ever happening to County though

Minus three or four degrees Wednesday and Thursday night in Nottingham though. That will freeze the pitch and it’s anybody’s guess whether it will thaw with only limited sun getting to it.

Friday also looks decent in Nottingham weather wise.

The wind chill making it feel like -6 but that would affect ground temp. I'd say its 50/50

The forecast I checked has Nottingham weather as between 4 and -2 Thursday night but above freezing all the way through Friday and Saturday. Time will tell but I think we'll be fine.

Wonder if fans of other clubs mention the weather/potential postponements as much as us?

Wonder if fans of other clubs mention the weather/potential postponements as much as us? I'd imagine Swindon fans are utterly desperate for any frost right now

Are there such things as frost covers any more? With Notts being such a big club, you would have thought that they possessed such things that would be effective for a light freeze.
