You might not get much at EP yourself but I bet you do in Edgeley. Or if you’re in the ground on a non matchday. For clarity I never have issues at EP myself. Worst thing was my phone claimed it had full signal and 4G, as did other Vodafone users I spoke to, but none of us actually got anything. I'm on Tesco mobile which uses the O2 network. Completely useless at EP on matchdays.[/quote] I’m on EE and have no issues at all at EP

Well Forest Green were atrocious.
If they carry on like that I honestly wouldn't be at all surprised if they got sucked in to going down again next season.
I suspect they might pull things around enough to scramble to 16th or 18th or somesuch.
But them finishing 21st or 22nd in next season's National League would not surprise me.

A performance so dominant and complete that I was bored in the second half. I've read that they had an XG of 0.0. Surprised it was that high. We were as good as they were dreadful, they look doomed, we look good for the autos if not the title. That genuinely felt like a practice game for long stretches. Second week in a row Powell has put in a performance his reputation demands, long may it continue. Camps was also a busy nuisance quite apart from his goal - he's about the only player I don't get annoyed when everyone shouts shoot at. Touray's had a cracking game again too. 3 players who have at various points not lived up to billing with us hitting form for us at a vital time. Everyone at least a 7 for me. Even the subs who didn't really get to do anything oozed comfort and control. I did sort of worry that the subs had made us weaker but tbh it was just keeping them at arms length for the final 30 minutes. I'm a touch disappointed we didn't do much to try and rack up some goals. Highlight for me was Forest Green's 16 coming on and getting into an off the ball tussle with Touray which ends with him trying to two foot scythe Ibby down only to injure himself (and lose his headband) in the process. They had been tussling and Touray was giving as good as he was getting but the ref giving them a free kick for it, when he's clearly not seen it, felt like him taking pity on them. Unless the liner's decided it was Touray's fault that their player was in a heap. Their number 5 was a carthorse as well. I was actually taken aback at how bad they were. Aside from a 5 minute flurry in the second half (which led to the home fans doing the old "lets pretend we've scored a goal routine) they were among the worst I've ever seen at this level. Comically bad. I almost felt sorry for them and I think we did as we properly took our foot off the gas. I get annoyed when people say Ben's "had nothing to do" but honestly today you can probably fairly say that. Lots of shouting as you'd expect, and taunting opposition runners as he slowly picks up the ball after another hopeful punt forward, but I wasn't surprised when he engaged in a fine bit of sweeping charging out of the box to leather a ball over the top away - just for something to do it felt. Honestly they look doomed to me, but maybe we were just that good. As a day out though, if I never go there again it's too soon. I knew it would be a bad one when the journey across took as long as some drives I've done to Stockport, at half the distance! The postcode for the park and ride sends Waze to an industrial estate next door, the bus roof on the top deck was low enough that I had to duck (and I may be taller than Neil Edwards but I am not a tall man), the "fan zone" was pretty bleak and I didn't bother queuing for the bar as it was so long, though I did have a nice rocky road brownie. The band wasn't awful. That stand though - ugh. I'm properly feeling my back now being squeezed in with nothing to lean on and utterly soaked to boot. Decided to walk back to the park and ride after the game as the queue of people waiting for the single bus to return looked like I wouldn't get on. Definitely think I made the right call as it was under 20 minutes downhill. The final pain in the arse was the lack of data for anyone on Vodafone. Supposedly full signal on 4G but no data at all. Quite a few around me in the same boat. Not great for keeping up with scores or checking in on Fanhub. f*ck off back to non league Forest Green. It's where you belong. The vegan sausage roll I had was very nice though - the queues very long as well so clearly popular. To be fair to them on mobile reception, theirs was far better than our own. I was even able to check the half time scores which is something I can never do at Edgeley Park. The lack of phone signal is all due to the large number of people. Too many people all connected to the same phone mast. At EP there are a lot more people than at Forest Green

Hippo Cass not able to get in squad yesterday Knoyle and Kane right side defenders (and Byrne for Wrexham aerial bombardment)
This squad we have currently plus Collar Bristow Wright and Barry to come allows D.C. to play any game we want We can bring 3/4 fresh pressers after 65 minutes. Didn’t need to yesterday

Not long since got back. A bit of an odd area down there isn’t it? Bizarre place for a league team. Didn’t they used to be in league one too? Can only imagine what Nailsworth is like crawling with Sunderland fans. I’m waking up in Nailsworth this morning so was thoroughly enjoyable day for me, drive had a fair bit of traffic, few beers in Britannia before the match to fortify me for that walk to the ground - proper hill that 30 mins of graft getting up that. Left 5 mins before the end so I could steal a march on what I assumed would be a fairly chaotic situation with 4K people trying to stick to the pavement on a small country lane. More beers in the villiage then a banging meal in Williams - a seafood restaurant in Nailsworth. Shame the ground isn’t closer to the centre of the village really, would change the whole experience - the hill is a killer and I guess anyone going on the train would come in via Stroud so it just adds an extra element of ball ache. But yeah thoroughly enjoyed my day out, was a real novelty as we won’t be getting too many more of these kinds of experiences where we’re heading.

One of the easiest away games for me.
Got a friend who lives just outside Thornbury so drove down early yesterday, lunch at theirs and then we were at the ground within 25 mins. Parked on a locals drive for a fiver and home for 5:30.
They were farcical, they don’t even merit any more than that. Just rubbish.
Said it last week that I’m comfortable we’re up, that’s absolutely the case now. Suspect we’ll go and win the title too, hopefully it comes down to us and Wrexham so there’s something on the final game and it’s not just a backslapping exercise.

Very dominant display . Not sure I’ve ever seen a home team not have a shot at goal and we passed them off the park . Have to say Powell and Touray even looked decent . Knowle as though he’s never been missing . Happy days . The gap between us and fourth is still the only one I’m bothered about . Not as worried as i was a few games back. It might be only a 4 point gap but with 2 games in hand that i always class as a point a game its more or less could be 6 with a better GD in the bargain. Can actually easily afford a slip up now without it hurting us. Repeat the last 2 performances for the rest of the season and thats will be it.

It would make good sense for them to move to gloucester and combine with the present side playing in the city, build a new ground in a higher populated area. FGR are far more non league than the rest who have bought their way into the football league. Its a bit like cockermouth getting into the EFL.

Made the aways at doncaster and grimsby look difficult. Actually in the end a backslapping exercise at wrexham could be a good thing for fans who do attend, plus there could be a few tickets for the despirate floating about after the party after the accy game.

I think "Powell and Touray even looked decent" sells them a bit short, despite the opposition being no opposition at all. Powell was imperious, as many have said before, he'd have more impact if some of his team mates realised what he can do. There was a perfect example right under my nose in the first half when he played a ball towards the right corner flag and, at first, it looked as though it was going to roll out for a goal kick. Suddenly, it was as though a cartoon light bulb appeared above Kyle Knoyle's head and he thought "I could reach that," which he did, and put a dangerous cross in. Touray was my choice for man of the match, not just for his performance yesterday but because he's had a load of stick and risen above it.

As an aside, since moving up here have discovered how useless the signal coverage maps for each network are. 3 are supposed to have the best coverage where I live, but my friend has 3 and it was rubbish here and non-existent in Kirkwall. TM fine in Kirkwall but patchy here. Despite the island being low lying and fairly flat the coverage outside is very patchy with loads of blindspots even though I can see the radiomast from my house. Back to more important things: well done DC and the team. 3 more points on Monday please!

He had 2 assist and no fault of his own should of had 3 or 4 in total. He also had the most tackles in the whole game
