Question about the trains for anyone who knows about split save tickets Our booked train out has been cancelled, the email from Trainline says we can use the service before or the one after. We had split tickets with the split being at Nuneaton, neither of the alternatives stop at Nuneaton, are we likely to have issues when the tickets are checked? I questioned the exact same thing with Avanti on Twitter and was told to take the service before or after, even if they don't stop at Nuneaton. Ta

I've had an email from Trainline saying that the train I'm on is scheduled to be running but if not then the ticket is valid on any other running between Thursday and Monday!

I know there are tickets for sale via the Sutton site for the corner, but I have a spare for the covered standing we have sold out. £21. Can meet before the game if anybody interested.

Just wonder if we were stuck mid table with a poor away record so many would bother travelling away with the problems of tickets and travel by train. Someone mentioned e tickets. Unless there is a real problem having them or a misuse of the system they should be allowed. Thats from someone who hasn,t got a device to take advantage of that system.

Hats off to all travelling to Sutton tomorrow and Colchester Tuesday, despite all the hassle with postponements, train cancellations etc. 👏 👏
Have safe journeys and please bring back 3 pts(on each occasion!)

Looks like a careful eye should be kept on trains from central London to west Sutton, the one I had my eye on has vanished from Trainline

One of the better EFL Referees. Better than his old man was who was eventually kicked off the league referees list.

Looks like a careful eye should be kept on trains from central London to west Sutton, the one I had my eye on has vanished from Trainline Without going full train nerd, what Thameslink appear to have done is cancel all the timetabled services and replaced them with one off services that are exactly the same, probably owing to the ASLEF overtime ban. The cynic in me suggests that's becuase it's then less of a financial penalty to cancel these services at short notice than the regularly timetabled ones, but we'll see. For reference, these are all the services from St Pancras currently due to head to West Sutton that get you there with a bit of time to spare: www.realtimetrains.co.uk/search/detailed/gb-nr:STP/to/gb-nr:WSU/2024-04-06/0900-1330?stp=WVS&show=all&order=wttI'm hoping to be on the 1112 from St Pancras if anybody is doing the same.

I'm certain that you're correct. Another thing TOCs like to do when there's industrial action is blame every single delay or cancellation on it, even when it's unrelated. I was shocked when SWR cancelled a train yesterday and reported it as a passenger taken ill rather than as a result of industrial action. Although I suppose passenger issues are another thing where they can go "not our fault guv".

Not a massive journey for me, but given that it'll involve three trains, we'll see how smoothly it works out! Is there a decent pub near the ground/West Sutton station that lets away fans in?
