The Wrexham lot are very touchy aren’t they? Some serious piss has been boiled over in North Wales in the last 24 hours. The vast majority I’ve come across on the socials have been good-natured - ‘well deserved champions’, ‘see you at ours for the party’ etc. I’ve had to remind a few that they still have a score to settle!

Oh absolutely, some good eggs over there, but it’s the usual numpties which are very easy to wind up.

Myles Hippolyte doesn't sound like he thinks he'll be here next season.
Barry sounds like he thinks he may play higher than L1 next season.
Nick Powell doesn't do cliché footballer interviews.
Really great to hear from so many players. Exciting times ahead.

Someone we should spend the money on as it’s only ever going to result in a profit for us. Agree about Hippo.

Powell interviews like he plays! Powell looked like he didn't want to be there yesterday, looked awkward walking out, kept with his kids away from the team a little I noticed (assume they were his kids). Not a criticism in any way, he's proper engaged with this team and has played his part, but I'm not sure adulation / attention is really his thing.

I work with a few, one is an absolute class guy, another one congratulated me but then made a point that they have: "lots of rivals and Stockport aren't one" which I thought was very classless and I didn't even give it a reaction.

Some people just don't like being the centre of attention and for some (no idea whether this is true for Powell), football is more of a job than a passion.

Hangover from last night has only just begun to subside, the scenes outside the Albert and then in Bask were ace. Castle Street probably looked like a warzone this morning!
Takeaways from the interviews:
Sounds like recruitment plans are well underway, going to be a busy summer for DC from his sun lounger!
Really impressed by Barry, speaks very well for a young man. He's back in with the Villa first team squad to finish off the season so, as much as he's clearly enjoyed it here, you do wonder if he'll end up in the Championship on loan. If we get him again it'll be a real coup.
Heart goes out to MSH. Has no luck, I do hope we see him back.
Build the Ben and Paddy statues immediately.
So pleased for Bailey. He's spoken in the past about his struggles and falling out of love with football a bit, so it's lovely to see him with a smile on his face.
Very much sounds like Hippolyte is on his way. Made a great impact during his time, but I think that's it for him with us.
I f*cking love Sarce. His experience in League 1 would be a massive plus for us.
Nick Powell's interview was both refreshing and a little odd. He clearly sees the bigger picture, knows it's the beginning of a journey, but christ man, crack a smile.

Yep. Agree with the comments about Powell. Mans a machine! No room for sentiment there

Sarce does seem to have forgotten that we won the National League. Quoted by Barry as saying he's had 7 promotions but never been champion and then in his own interview says "I've never been up as champions". I assume he meant gone up from League Two but Barry definitely took it to mean he's never been a champion of a league.

Yep. Agree with the comments about Powell. Mans a machine! No room for sentiment there On the flip side, the bond he’s struck up with Lemonheigh-Evans, one of the quietest members of the squad, and the way he was doting on his daughters during the presentation yesterday speak to a warmer side of his personality. Just as much as his improved performances/fitness since January, that side of him being more in evidence has really made me warm to him over the past few months.
