Powell is different, that’s all it is and he’s absolutely right of course in terms of what we’re trying to achieve , be good if he could enjoy it a bit more but judging by his instagram he’s well aware of how fleeting these moments are and how the life of a footballer can be precarious so that’s why he’s perhaps a bit more measured in his response. He’s given us some excellent moments this season and seems supportive of his teammates, clearly won’t be phased by league 1 in the slightest.

Hadn't realised that was Mark Stott's daughter who walked out with Steve Bellis carrying the trophy...nice touch & a moment she'll never forget

As a main stander i stayed in the ground till about 6. Most fans had gone by then so i took the opportunity and built up a bit of courage to speak to Mark Stott. I told him he should be on the pitch as he has been a massive part. He was all coy and said no, its not for him...
I found this rather refreshing if im honest. He must know that without him, we wouldn't have achieved anything but didnt want the limelight.. Awesome.

On the flip side, the bond he’s struck up with Lemonheigh-Evans, one of the quietest members of the squad, and the way he was doting on his daughters during the presentation yesterday speak to a warmer side of his personality. Just as much as his improved performances/fitness since January, that side of him being more in evidence has really made me warm to him over the past few months. Regardless of ability, some players get us and some don’t. He knows the plan, is looking to the future and he gets it

It was a huge achievement and you can enjoy the milestones on the journey. Just two different ways of approaching it.

Poor James, he’s a nice bloke. Bit weird to boo them really, they’re just anonymous suits to most. They are representatives though. Some people regard Sky as a malign influence. Some people regard betting companies sponsoring sports as a bad thing. Some people think both things are true. So if someone shows up representing either/both of those things (and, after all, that is what they're there to do), they can expect some people to give voice to that. Still, it was only a bit of booing everyone swiftly moved on from to the main business of the day. Around me in the DB stand the booing/ cat calls were directed towards Parry as the representative of the EFL on the PGB for his involvement in the FA Cup replay decision and or/his support for the Championship teams over the rest of the EFL.

Big difference to many owners who love the limelight and give the impression of its all about them.

Powell looked like he didn't want to be there yesterday, looked awkward walking out, kept with his kids away from the team a little I noticed (assume they were his kids). Not a criticism in any way, he's proper engaged with this team and has played his part, but I'm not sure adulation / attention is really his thing. Noticed that myself. Some people just don't like being the centre of attention and for some (no idea whether this is true for Powell), football is more of a job than a passion. Think with Powell, he just isn't one for the big public celebrations. The interview with him was excellent, he gets it. Think L1 will suit him better than L2 too.

What a day!! I can only repeat what everyone has said... My only question.... What was the booing of the EFL guys for?? Rick Parry etc!? I didn't join in but it seemed like boos for the SkyBet rep, rather than the league, to me. Bit of a tradition to boo suits generally, isn't it? And good luck to them.

It does those in power and authority good to be booed every now and then I know the views of lots on here regarding Citeh, but the loud sustained booing of the Champions League anthem makes me smile every single time.
