7 points out of 9. Very pleasing. 10 out of 12 would be even nicer :-)

That might be the worst football match I've ever seen.

That might be the worst football match I've ever seen. It's a crime against humanity to call that a 'football match'. I've seen us get drubbed 6-0 et al over the years, but that without a doubt was the worst football game I've ever seen irrespective of the result. I still can't believe how deflated I feel after a 1-1 draw. Proper schoolboy stuff. Workington were utter dogshite; if we had even stood up to them it would have been a result like Bradford PA again but we were so bad we got dragged into their shit style of play. The amount of times they balled up within a 5 yard range like schoolboys we could have cut them clean open with a pass.

And the take home message from failing to beat Workington over two games this season is stay at home in the warm.

Make no mistake, we've taken 4 points out of 2 games we've been second best in. Bradford PA of course was the one I didn't bother going to, top marks for clairvoyance there. I guess being optimistic we might have enough upfront to put goals past some teams and that should be enough to stay up, but sod this if staying up in the Conference North is something to work towards.

Yep, totally. Anything less than top 3 in this horrendous made up league is absolute failure. To think some are happy with mid table consolidation is unbelievable. But, f*ck it. I don't go so it's only a very minor annoyance to me. I went to Oxford last Saturday and that was easily the least enjoyable Saturday I've had for weeks. Pretty much anything else you can possibly do in life is better than going to County. If it was free, and they only played in July, and you could have a pint in the stand, I might go to watch us at this level. To pay £15 to see us struggle in the freezing cold against donkeys like Workington? No thanks.

To pay £15 to see us struggle in the freezing cold against donkeys like Workington? No thanks. Perhaps it's like watching some abstract theatre or listening to difficult jazz, maybe we have to appreciate the nuances of present day County and find humour in the farcical, like their goalkeeper watching their winger make a left to right run, giving himself acres of space and shouting for the ball, only to then watch the keepers attempt to pick him out sail into the Main Stand, or them turning up in a kit that was last seen in 1980. It should help distract from the reality of watching two poor teams chugging around a shoddy pitch, whacking the ball around with little control whenever it gets near to them, which could apply to most games, including today's. I've seen worse games though, I'm sure of that. Hopefully 2014 will be better!

And the take home message from failing to beat Workington over two games this season is stay at home in the warm. Agreed. After the result against Bradford Park Avenue I was planning on going but this morning I took one look out the window, seen it was a little bit on the cold side and binned it off. I did however decide to listen to it on the radio and that was probably just as bad. I noticed Des Hinks was back doing the commentary, how long has he been back for?

He's usually on Sky Sports doing reports at Fleetwood for Soccer Saturday.

Absolute shite today, Duxbury MOM your having a laugh he was one of the worst players on the pitch today. The moment Turner went off e had no ideas or clue as to how to break them down. We should have had a penalty at the end buy that is no excuse against a poor Workington side. Another Ormson error for the goal but a mention must go to Moke for the most inept performance of the season so far. I must say the new centre back looked very good and just what we need at the back. The rest of the team had a complete off day although Howard did alright.

must admit I didn't think it was quite as bad as all that. Plenty of effort on both sides, just very little quality.
ratings
Ormson - 5 - the one howler per game ratio continues, and unfortunately he didn't get away with it today. Shame, as he was decent otherwise.
Jacobs - 7 - typical Jacobs performance. Battled and got forward well, but is just a shade short of the required quality for the right end of this league
Cowen - 8 - I really like him. The dominant centre back we've missed for years, albeit a hoof-y one
Fagbola - 6 - started poorly, with two bad errors, possibly pitch related, but much better later on
Duxbury - 7 - another solid game. Certainly doesn't look like a teenager learning the game
Platt - 6 - not great today, struggled to impose himself first half, and lots of misplaced passes
Lofthouse - 7 - seems to improve a little by the game, but still not one to be starting every week for me.
Turner - injured very early, hopefully not too serious as we really missed him
Jevons - 7 - at the heart of anything decent we did, but things just weren't coming off.
Howard - 7 - see Jacobs
Dickinson - 5 - very poor today, won a few headers, but not nearly enough, and looked generally off the pace.
subs
Moke - 5 - one decent bit of skill just before half time, but nothing else
Dennis - 6 - I think a loan spell would do him good. There's definitely something there with him, but stepping up three levels currently looks like it's a little beyond his ability
Churchman - too little time.
