Hello Out There !
It`s 3 years now since hedgegrower ran the `Hatters Worldwide` series of reports ( see Miscellany on the Labels drop down)on hedgegrower.blogspot.com .
The series, kicked off by our great friend from Japan Akito Aoki ran for 11 splendid stories and each one painted a vivid picture of just what it means to be part of the County Family outside the UK.
After Saturday there will be no match reports for a while so hedgegrower thought it would be good to hear from our `exiled `County supporters again.
So ,if you were one of the 11 in our original series we would love to get an update from you on life for you and yours since last you contacted us with a few photos if possible. Tell us how it feels to be champions- your story will be published .
Or. If you are an overseas County fan and have not sent us your story before ,please take this opportunity and tell us about your life as a County supporter and please include a few photos .
Wherever on the globe you live ,your story deserves to be out there and enjoyed by the rest of the County Family Worldwide -please send it to hedgegrower@gmail.com old hedgie will do the rest!

I thought this deserved bumping up to the top, I've not been gone long enough but it might be of interest to malc and bodensee.

For me, one of the highlights of the lockdown season was seeing the messages of support from fans around the world, before the streams infront of empty stadia. Hope every single one of those fans is well, and has enjoyed this season as much as us lucky ones to witness it in person.

I recall you having a couple of contributions, and probably more, from the US. If you could stand yet another one I might give it a whirl.

Been here in S.Germany on Lake Constance since 76 (the reason why would take almost as long as the pitch invasion discussion in the Morecambe thread!). Beautiful part of the country as Vicar knows, as Orkneyhatter and Mustafapoint also do.
Just been through old programmes and found the West Ham League Cup one from the early 70s which we won 2-1. Hard to believe looking at the star studded Hammers line-up, this was a time when the top teams sent out good teams

Love the Belgrade ad. "all with bath tv and phone". Luxury! Probably not changed much since then either.

See that the ref for the game was Pat Partridge from the boro. Actually saw his last ever game he reffed before he went into forced retirement that happened back in those days. He played up to the crowd for the full game being the pantomime villain or hero depending on the circumstances. Think it was at the shay about 10 years after the west ham game.

Fez- thank you- that`s marvelous- I am definitely very interested. Write as much as you want to- whatever you send it will be published with only the lightest editing ( my firm promise to you). A few photos would enhance the story perfectly if you have some. All to go to hedgegrower@gmail.com whenever you are ready to send. Thanks again Fez.
Regards

OK, thanks. It might be a while, mind! I'm not a selfie sort of bloke so currently have few pictures. Of myself anyway, for which we should all be glad.
