According to COWS, the "Head Groundsman" is JG Groundcare.
A little digging on Google tells us that this company was incorporated on 22 October 2013, at around the time that Cashy was given the sack.
It's paid up capital is all of £100 and it's registered address is 44-46 Market Street, Hyde. This is obviously a brass-plate company because there is a list of numerous other companies registered at this address.
The sole director is one Mark Arthur John Jackson, born 1985 (aged 28).
Does anyone else think that this has the odour of bad fish or is it just that I've not got the hang of all this "Blue Sky" thinking?

Pitch is looking rough after this bad bout of weather.....
Needs to be sorted as we don't want it costing us goals.

Pitches like that can start to cause doubt in players minds and then mistakes creep in. It's probably not helped us having 4 home games in a row over a period of bad weather as well.

Only a minor point, but Cashy wasn't sacked. He was simply asked to leave because the club (RM?) decided they couldn't afford him.
Even though they might have been able to, if only they'd bothered their arses to try and work something out.

And as for the pitch, it's clear as day how much the reduced time and effort spent on it has affected it.
Money saving is good, but when it affects how people feel about the club it clearly translates into a drop in value and a drop in revenue.
I don't buy the programme anymore. I would if it was any good, but it's terrible. Awful even. That's not the fault of the people who are doing it for free. I take my hat off to them. I wouldn't do it. It's because the resources have been snipped and as a result quality has suffered.

Pitch looked shite. Sat in the main stand so would have told McKnight in person it's yet another bollock dropped on his watch but he is too busy off sunning his mop head on holiday.
Laughable the CEO would take holidays over the festive period with home games in abundance.
Absolutely no shame that guy. Sooner he's gone the sooner this club can begin to crawl up off it's knees.

You make an excellent point about the money saving aspect though. You tend to get what you pay for in this world. Everyone seemed to agree the pitch was in excellent nick and doubtless that was due to the loving care spent on it. I doubt that the current groundsman much cares as long as he gets paid the reduced amount. He's not going to go to the lengths that Cashy did to ensure a good playing surface.

Good is not cheap and cheap is not good.
Looking at the highlights from BPA the pitch looked the worse it has since the egg chasers did one.

Yet another blunder from Ryan's false economy book.

They do the pitch at Woodley. It's not the best.

Does anyone have a photo of the pitch today they can post on here? Wish I d taken my camera.
Those who didn't go to the match may not believe how bad it looked.
Ryan how about some radical thinking and action to sort this. No wonder you are away . I d be embarrassed to sit in the box and look at a pitch like that. .....
