I believe the pitch had a lot to do with today's performance , in just a week it looks like a farmer has plowed it . It's going to cost us points this season ! Thanks Ryan

The ball was almost never on the pitch, it was one of the worst games of football I've seen (and we've had plenty to choose from recently). Yes the pitch is poor, but if all you ever do is hoof it, you'll get what we witnessed today.

On the flipside, if the pitch was up to scratch then the players would be more confident about playing it on the floor.

The pitch is poor no doubt but we came up against a team who seemed to be more "at it" it looked like we thought all we had to do was just turn up to win, it was one of the worst games i've seen in a long time and that says something, i mean Dennis in midfield what's that about?

The pitch didn't have much to do with how we played. Whilst the pitch was atrocious it isn't as bad that you couldn't pass or play football on it. We've played on worse and not resorted to that sort of playing style.
Anybody have a clue what happened to the pitch in the midfield? Looked like one of those vehicle lawn motors had cut the pitch. Atrocious.

I can't believe that dispensing with Liam's services and employing this newly formed company was a cost cutting exercise. Ok they might have been some saving but it cannot be much. How did JG Groundcare get the contract it surely can't have been on recommendation. I think it fair to say that when Liam was looking after it we had a great pitch to be proud of especially at this tinpot level but now it is a disgrace and rapidly becoming an embarrassment. This must affect the players whatever style we play. It just shows the lack of pride and interest in our club from the powers that be. Bye the way - how did they manage to get it so bobbley in such a short time?

As to how much they've saved, I've heard a figure mentioned. It's relative peanuts and certainly a figure Cashy would have forfeited if he could have stayed at EP. He wasn't given that option though, even though it would make sense to anyone with a clue to give him that option.
Instead we have the people who look after the awful grass pitch at Woodley (anyone seen it? It's flat but otherwise f*cking shite). That said, maybe they're more than competent but the fact they're spending far less time on it means it has suffered.
It looks soggy to me and has cut up. It'd be very easy for them to suggest 3 games in 12 days are the reason, but the previous 3 games on it took place over a 2 month period and it still looked in bad condition prior to the Brackley game.
I'm not pretending to be an expert in pitch care but I've watched over 1000 games at EP, easily. And it looks as bad as it did when Sale were playing here.

there's no logic in sacking/relieving Cashy of his duties . . . as a FOOTBALL CLUB you have fixed costs, players, management, background staff, medical staff, PLAYER INSURANCE, National Insurance, VAT and PITCH MANAGEMENT COSTS . . . that's it, the bare essentials for running a FOOTBALL CLUB . . . Cashy was an integral part of the basics for looking after the Pitch Management side of the business . . . quite an important part of running a football club is ensuring the PITCH is FIT FOR PURPOSE . . . Cashy's money in the winter months would have been worth it's weight in gold . . . what when the bad weather takes it's toll and games are called off due to incompetent pitch management decisions?? how much will that effect the cash flow of the business?? i'm sure you're a smart boy Ryan and i'm sure you've thought of a game plan for this eventuality because WHEN it happens and your plan springs into action we'll be wrong and you will be justified in your actions to dispense with Cashy's services . . . until that master plan springs into action however you will have your doubters and i for one think you have been one of the most incompetent executives i've ever seen in business
