Changed my vote from lose on penalties to lose in 90 minutes. Personally think we'll get a bit of hiding in this one due to the side we'll put out & saving ourselves for Blackpool. A shame because with a fully fit squad to choose from I think we'd in with a very good chance of an upset. Hopefully Blackburn put out a weaker side as sides further up the pyramid tend to do which may make it more of an even contest. On the plus side, feeling pretty confident we can get something at Blackpool. Reading their board they're not looking forward to it at all & are pretty fed up with their manager & style of play. So as much as I like the league cup & would enjoy a little run in it I'm happy to sacrifice an early exit if it means we take 3 points on Saturday. Do not want us losing any game but the circumstances the club finds itself in might mean another short league cup run this season. Mind you we could give em a shock with our kids and the rest as it would not be the biggest shock in football if we won. We've not really had much of a preseason so the team needs some game time, it's a tricky one to balance.

I was going to give this one a swerve but the will has weakened. It t will be good to have a look at some of the younger players and some of those closer to the starting eleven that need game time.
The prices probably swing it - if it was full price defo would not have bothered. Flexible pricing is a winner!

Increasingly tempted myself as bit of a free hit where I won't be down if we lose - unless it's very undeserved or late on.

Have Blackburn got the whole pop side? Presume so as Pop closed (I think?) and had 250 extra tickets released to them last week, which sold out. Reckon there may be a few in the home ends...

Why would anyone give this a swerve, Blackburn in the league cup is a big game and I remember taking thousands there in a league cup game, I have some very good memories of our clashes in this competition.

Agree - not very long ago we’d have given anything see us come up against a team like Blackburn in a competitive game. Cant believe people are already so blasé about a fixture like this.

Absolutely no idea what formation so I’ll stick it as a 442, but I’ve gone with this as my starting 11.
Hinchliffe Okeke, Hughes, Onyango, Touray Fevrier, Bailey, Mingi, Gardner Wootton, Diamond
Wootton looks in great shape and can handle the extra minutes. Diamond looks like the kind of player who builds confidence and gets better the more he plays, so could benefit from being involved tonight.

Probably not Diamond or Touray either.
