I hear people saying today's ref was biased towards Histon and that he was against us 100% Sorry but he was poor in the most but I believe he was not biased in anyway. He used his liners and listened and used commen sense as and where necessary all IMVHO

As is the case in most of these type of situations.
I've met my fair share of referees, when decisions go against us/your team, it's easy to throw the 'bias' card at them, but if we're being honest they're just trying to do the best job they can in difficult circumstances.
Full speed, one view, short space of time to make a decision, of course they will get stuff wrong, but do they do it on purpose, I think not.
If I was asked to referee a game and I had a personal liking of one team more than the other, I can say honestly that I wouldn't let it change my way of running the game, I think most referees are the same and take a lot of abuse for a job that if they didn't do, we'd have a pretty shite game of football.

I reffed a friendly game between two RAF bases many years ago. I never reffed again. Bloody awful job.

There's a reason that the referees we have are doing so at this level. We're going to get plenty of bad ones before the season is over but as long as we create enough chances to score and convert a couple, we'll be fine.
Sounds easy when you put it like that doesn't it?

I fully understand the difficult job they have. However, as many before them this season, today's officials were amongst the poorest yet. It's far easier to say it when we've won! Getting decisions wrong occasionally, see Howard I'm fantastic Webb, are part and parcel of the game. But to continually be indecisive and to apparently be guessing between them is not what being in charge is about. All season long throw ins and corners have been "guessed" at like the one today where a histon player clearly headed it out, the liner knew but had to ask the ref what he thought! They both knew they were wrong. Last thing, Boston had some quality, shame it was in the diving department. Oh, the laws are, or should be, the same regardless of the level..cheers db

Their number 11 was the most infuriating player to watch and the referee fell for it hook line and sinker. Taking dives every-time he could and then ranting and raving about anything when he got dispossessed.

Amount of corners & throws that went wrong way basic decision making & poor positioning were pretty appalling & I'll await to read the assessors report with interest

Sure it is difficulg to ref a game but these guys are supposedly trained and supposed to be abld to do the job.
I was sat in the Cheadle End. The ref didn't have a clue and wasn't consistent .
Duxberry was penalised by our left corner flag for shoulder barging their player. Free kick. The linesman was close by so no excuse to get it wrong.
There corners first half , our players were being warned to keep off holding there's (which inafree with) but second half for our corners he didn't stop the Histon players from doing the same.
The verdict was given by the CE ; ie you don't know what you're doing. [\b]
These jokers need to be retrained or go and ref Sunday league.
It seems to be a lottery who we get but yesterday they were so poor. Trouble is the ref will believe he's done a good job.,

Obviously no sour grapes as we got the points but that ref did seem to give them a lot more than he gave us.

I thought their number 11 looked useful.
