Yeah that's good, and 'Go Them!' sure but my point is there's not much point having a big discussion if he'll come back and getting our hopes up if it seems unlikely that he wouldn't want to come back anyway. If the circumstances were right then it could happen, and if the circumstances are right then it should happen. There are so many ghosts of administration and last season that still need exorcising, and if Jim Gannon came back, not only would it be a huge shot in the arm but it would also be because good people were running the club - ie. Toodle Pip to certain parties. Change seems to be on the horizon, by all accounts. It'll be interesting to see exactly what that might be.

Isn't that just a classic 'don't shoot your load all at once, drip feed it' strategy?
Maybe I'm too cynical though...

I'd have Jim back, he should never have left first time or second time.
Weren't we in the relegation zone on goal difference with a game in hand when we lost to Mansfield, who then went on to win promotion?
Lordys the man right now, but hypothetically, there's no one better than Jim at this level.

I'd much rather give Lord a couple of seasons to see what he can do. We can't afford to give him a couple of seasons and not work out. It should of been up or bust this year!

Just like when Big Kev came back.....can never create the magic of the first time! Bit harsh considering he broke his leg. Big Brett did OK when he came back. Mick

Yes, but it clearly isn't going to be. No one wanted to be in this position, but we are. The last thing this club needs is another change of manager. It's beyond a joke now.

Mick Yeah, true but he'd been plodding around the lower leagues and when he came back to us, in the championship don't forget, he looked a bit out of shape and not the 100+ Kev we all love! Angell probably did better in his 2nd spell though so i'll give you that one.

Agree with that. But when you said it's like we were top of the league, No but i know where you're coming from, I just thought that we would of stayed up if we had him for the rest of the season. After all 19 days eariler we were all looking at the play offs. (after the Hyde Victory). The thing that annoyed me that most is that it was a 5 year plan, and he got a year?
We weren't looking at the playoffs at all. This revisionism p*sses me off. Jim was great first time around. No doubt about that, but when he was sacked we'd gone on a run of results that would have seen fans calling for anyone else to be sacked. We lost to Hyde on Boxing Day too remember! That win we had was our first win in 8 Games in the league. We won 3 of his last 15 games. Yes, he was working under ridiculous conditions and I'd have forgiven him had we gone down under his stewardship, but don't for 1 minute think we were anywhere near the playoffs. This part of your comment sums up what is wrong at County and why most managers will fail here. It's a difficult job because of the circumstances. If I was JG, I'd only consider coming back once all that was sorted out, and never under the current ownership!

Looks like it.
This is what I have heard. The group I thought/think Saint Saviour is involved with also has Jim Gannon involved, and he would become manager if they were to gain control of the club.

How sure are you of your source? Dunno how I feel about it if true. I still am cynical of anyone's motives - I think it's a good default position until they've proved themselves - but we're such a clusterf*ck of a club at the moment, I'm beginning to be of the opinion that, you know what? If it is Gannon, Fitzy and Saint Saviour, plus a couple of the decent shareholders (and how do you define "decent"?), then bring 'em on. They can't be worse than the present owners, and if they load even more debt on us and it ends in tears, well, I reckon it was all going to end in tears anyway. And it might be a more enjoyable ride to a phoenix club than it would have been under Batman Snape and the Boy Wonder.

I am very sure.
From what I have heard the shareholders who were putting money in are now fed up. I know they have bailed us out on more than one occasion in the last 12 months by providing funds.
They are getting sick of it and this is why McKnight is trying to get some revenue up front with the ticket offer and the raffle for the roof.
There are then supposed to be three consortiums with a real interest, not including the Chinese.
The group of County fans, that is supposed to be involving SS & JG. A group of Welsh men - not sure on any more detail over this, and then some people from Yorkshire. How close or far away they are I'm not sure, but we are truly skint and I think it could just be whoever is first past the post gets control of the club.
What this means for shares and the greater detail I'm not sure, but I would say I am 99.9% certain the above is going on.
