It was Pure's 'expert' Phil Staley and I absolutely agree. I thought exactly the same as I listened to it. I can't stick him! What on earth has he brought a book out about? He's not got a clue.

Who the fxxx are they to be talking us down? Typical small town midlands divs. Having worked in Shropshire & Telford for many years I've always had a sneaking admiration for the set up at the Bucks Head, especially the fans involvement in the running of the club. Just a shame that so many of those fans are utter tools.

Telford's manager was interviewed on Pure after the game and he was the same. Blamed performances of individuals for each goal, blamed the penalty taker for having it saved, blamed his strikers for not finishing chances, blamed Tunnicliffe's marker for not tracking him. Can't put my finger on why but I'm not fond of Telford. I really hate the way that Keith Coates interviews some of the opposition managers as though he's an impartial commentator rather than someone who is supposed to be focused on County.....and he really grates when he refers to us as "Stockport" rather than County ! It wasn't Keith Coates but it was Phil Staley

Unusually I missed the game yesterday (life threatening man flu) and listened to Pure, if Keith Coates is the bloke who assisted with the commentary he was far from impartial, he was raving about Telford and Liam Watson. As the game progressed he went off them a bit and constantly referred to them as one dimensional and how they just lumped it forward with no plan B, prior to that though he was raving about them and getting quite excited when they went forward

It was Phil Staley. He's commentated a few times this season. Liam Watson was calling him by his first name in the interview and Phil mentioned he'd been down watching Telford a few times this season so maybe there's a connection there?

Here's another Telford view
'Once again rubbish and an awful result considering the shocking form Stockport have been in this season. We have major problems all over the pitch from the shaky defence (granted there has been improvement from the start of the season) to the strikers who seem incapable of scoring even the easiest of chances. Defensively we gifted them four goals yesterday because Stockport were by no means world beaters. Defending set pieces particularly seemed a major problem yesterday the time in the box the Stockport players were having to pick their spot was ridiculous. Youngy didn't have his greatest of games and was one of the people at fault for the second goal. Grand and Byrne both had shocking games and Lever usually consistent was also poor. Baynes was the best of a bad bunch yesterday. Grogan was probably the best of a bad bunch yesterday and at least he kept trying. Unfortunately he was not given any help by the very poor Benjamin who was miles off the pace of the game. Both Clancy and Cooke didn't get involved in the game, but I have no idea why McGinn came on at left midfield at half time. He looks absolutely lost on the wing he has no pace at all and I have yet to see him whip in decent cross. The strikers continued how they have pretty much been all season shocking. Owens runs round the majority of time like a headless chicken, doesn't look like he knows where the goal is and then fouls people. Gray gives the ball away, doesn't look like he's bothered most of the time and then misses the easiest of chances. I would definately give Pheenix the chance up front alongside Farrell because the lack of goals from are strikers is really affecting performances. How Gray missed from 5 yards I will never know.
On the plus side the away support was good today and up until we got mauled we were making a decent amount of noise'

Their player missed an absolute sitter just before half time. If he had scored that it could have been a different game. Unexpected, but a big 3 points yesterday.

"On the plus side the away support was good today and up until we got mauled we were making a decent amount of noise" 170 plus away fans (massive!) ))))))) Wasn't impressed by the ref orr their players who repeatedly conned the ref. anyone would think we were playing on ice the number of times they fell over. Great result County! Keep the momentum going .

Yes same here. Keep it going, don't take foot off gas or settle for a draw next week lets put another 4 past Oxford. Put 3 wins on the run and we'd all be talking play offs. Think we have been already actually.

So like their manager they think we only scored because they were poor....they need to think how them managed to get their goals then. One a selected shot from a set piece that shouldn't have been given and the other a flukey own goal. On the day we were the better side and played some good stuff.

His opening comment is a bit off the mark. We're not in shocking form. He's done what a lot of teams seem to be doing - judging us by where we are in the league. Yesterday couldn't have been more different to the team we put out against Altrincham.

Agree with that. Telford need to give us credit. . We played the conditions better and our finishing was clinical. This team can only get better.

Must admit it really grates me to read comments like that from supporters of clubs that have never even played league football.
