He was linked before Covid 19 put pay to everything. I had no idea what his best position was when he was here years ago and I don’t think any manager has worked it out since. I did a bit of research and he’s played CM, CAM, RW, LW and FWD at Tranmere.

He’d certainly compliment our attack, I am excited about the signings we are now able to make!

The transfer market will change massively I think. That probably works in our favour. I’ve no reason to doubt Stott’s commitment, but isn’t his money in student property? Cambridge aren’t going to be the only university to go online for the time being, that’s a certainty. His business might well be fine, and so might we (I’d hope), but I wouldn’t assume until we’re on the other side.

Whilst that's true, don't forget that 20% of university students in the UK are international students. Online or not, they'll still be applying and coming to the UK for study, so that is still guaranteed business. All speculative of course, but it's potentially not as bleak as it could be (if it's bleak at all)

Fair point; I guess it depends on how many come in and how many are already here and are continuing study, as they'll still be paying fees etc. Who knows; no signs of anything bad coming out of the club yet though, hopefully that's a good sign.

Been a forward/left winger mainly for Tranmere, became more of a central midfielderas the season went on, but I think still mostly thought of as a winger.
Big question is (if he came) what that'd mean for the rest of the squad - would Lloyd join full time? Do we keep Stephenson on? And I can't remember if McAlinden was signed until the end of the season, or if he got a 2 1/2 year deal, like Hogan and Maynard did

I honestly think we can get better for our money than Lloyd, unless he’s willing to take a paycut. Salford inflated his wage massively. Stephenson, no thanks. McAlinden is only on a deal until the end of the season but he was starting to show promise so I’d give him another season.

I'd love us to sign Lloyd full-time, I don't think we've seen the best of him since he returned but full-time training should remedy that. I think we owe it to Stephenson to give him another year once he's fit again, he'd be handy to have as an impact sub.

Im sorry but stephenson is not good enough for us now, had flashes last season but looking towards the future, no thanks. Thanks for the memories and good luck, same could be said for one or two others.

If he became available Connor Jennings is one of my targets. Would be a great addition to our forward line. Not sure whether we would accept Lloyds wage demands and would it be fair on our lower paid players.

It would be fair on him to give him at least another year to see what he can do at this level when fit.

I agree. Stephenson needs a chance to prove himself. Has trained extremely hard and just had bad luck, but when fit I believe he could be a very useful player to have as not only can he turn defence into attack with his speed of pace, I feel he should be played in a striking role as he has goals in his playing style and could be more prolific upfront. Either way I’d have him.
