Clearer shot of the Main Stand, looks same it was. That’s a shame. They should paint or clad it.

Clearer shot of the Main Stand, looks same it was. Looking at the main stand, then what is the building to the left used for? I know the food hut is there and some toilets, but what about the right hand shutter window and also the windows upstairs. Also, on the right, then sure the bit with the white roof is the police centre, but what about those 2 light blue/green roofs?

Be interesting to see what Stott’s plan for the museum is, considering very few people get chance to see it at the moment. There was talk about a big new entrance to the CE with a cafe/mega store and loads of memorabilia on display throughout that. That’d make much more sense to me. But not sure if that’s still going ahead or not now. The buildings at the far end behind the police box are offices, possibly independent of the club. Didn’t Umbro have a presence there a few years ago?

It looks so good, which makes it all the more frustrating to not be able to go just what i was thinking. it,ll end up needing a re paint by the time we get back.

I think Odin recruitment use the office space now. The upstairs bit of the building nearest the CE is a pretty basic room with a few tables and a small bar. It’s used by the club’s life presidents for a cup of tea and a few sandwiches before the game mainly. Though it could be all change with the refurbs that have gone on.

Whats the theory on it not being open that often? Especially on match days. How long roughly does it take ro walk round? 30 mins or more?

Incorporate the museum in to the club shop somehow.
That way it can be seen at any time the club shop is open and it will increase the amount of numbers in to the shop which should increase sales.

I seem to remember that little room above the tea hut being used for half time drinks for sponsors and stuff. Before the cheadle end that was pretty much it for people on a jolly. That and the players bar. I’ve been in there a couple of times a long time ago.

One daft memory of that upstairs function room in the Main Stand is of being at fans forum in there after playing a reserve game against Wigan in the early to mid 90's, in wondered three bemused Spaniards including Roberto Martinez who had just signed for them trying to explain in their very limited English that the bus had left without them leaving them stranded at EP.

Sponsors go in the CE function rooms before and after the game now. At half time there is a bar underneath the main stand that tends to be used. Very rare for the room upstairs to have a functioning bar on a match day. Like I say it’s where the life presidents go and help themselves to tea and coffee. Sponsors are also welcome in there too as it’s all connected, but there being no alcohol means most stay under the main stand. The downstairs bit, where the museum is, is the player’s WAGs/Family hang out and is invite only. Could all be change now, but that’s how it’s definitely been the last few seasons.

Somewhere quieter for them to mess about when the games not on.
