The people campaigning against have been extremely disingenuous in referring to the land as a nature reserve, probably grown into being an SSSI from there

One main change that requires consideration is that Biodiversity Net Gain is now mandatory. So rather than just measurable gains for biodiversity, it is now a legal requirement for developments to deliver at least 10% BNG. On this basis, a BNG assessment will be required as part of a future planning application. The club has to be sympathetic to the area and offset its habitat impact... that's it in a nutshell Didn't know that, but it's an excellent policy. It'd be nice to see some acknowledgement from the "nature reserve" nobs that County's development would see an increase in biodiversity. Which wouldn't happen if the development didn't go ahead. So essentially, County building the new stands will improve biodiversity. As, ahem, people overwhelmingly concerned with such things in the crappy wasteland that was there previously, they should be all in favour of the new stands, surely?

As an aside, what did everyone think of the electronic advertising hoardings?
We sit low down in the main stand and missus has eyesight issues. She was wondering if they would be distracting.
Opinions welcome.
And will it stop kids in the Cheadle End banging the hoardings at that end? Doesn’t matter to me, but random thought when she mentioned the new addition

Fans were sitting on them against stoke and they made an announcement on the tanoy to stop and they wont hold the weight. The old hoardings are there still but the electric ones are just infront of them. They didn't have the one up for the porshe lounge or on the pop side yet

I do like anything that improves the experience - for all ages - though. As long as the game itself is left alone, I don't care what happens around it. And yep, that includes goal celebration music if kids like it. Sorry!

But this is unacceptable filth that simply has no place on this board. I expect its deletion and a banning order forthwith.

I thought they looked pretty smart, but they did make the old advertising boards on the Popside look very tired and tatty.

Agreed, to the point where it took me until about 30 minutes in to notice them. I suppose they had the same message on them throghout the game on Saturday whereas in future it'll be changing to different images and colours quite frequently so that might change things a bit.

They might keep the Pop side as they are due to it not being visible on the cameras. It depends on what value they place on the advertising for the fans in attendance.

The electric boards are 100% going down the Pop Side.
Just not going down the Main Stand side.

I wasn't there so I'll hold my hands up if I'm wrong but was fairly certain they weren't running down the length of the Main Stand due to the synthetic astro we have on that side + the dugouts etc.
