Even The Mail are not backing him now, the Express and Sun are but the Mail's headline is "what planet are they on" maybe they've finally gone too far.

Would put a π here, but it's not funny is it. Seems a complete indifference from Cummings, Johnson and the cabinet although I think he has some svengali type control over them anyway. Hate Baker, but even warmed to him for his comments yesterday. Let's hope enough back benches can increase the pressure.

Despite replying to myself here, must read the handbook again, I don't want Cummings to resign or be sacked. Of course he should be, as well as cautioned by the police, but I think whilst he stays, Boris is on a slippery slope, and as Vicar says (meant to quote Vicar obvs) there can't be too much credit left in the bank after the handling of this whole virus fiasco.

You could be right, it might be better for people to see the contempt they hold us in, was it Baker who said people are getting tired of his " I'm cleverer than you" attitude?

The Police who it looks like abhor the man, can't they do some ANPR work to track his car movements (assuming he is not driving some other) as well as his mobile records.
By the way was he wearing the same clothes on Saturday as he did yesterday - he just looks a scruffy b'stard

Agreed but it would be great to prove that he made a second trip - that would hang him. There's definitely more to this, no doubt. The man who saw him at a castle on April 12th has filed a complaint to Durham Police tonight. Apparently the car that was photographed there was registered to Cummings too. Boris has a lot of skeletons he's hiding in his closet with this guy though, so its unlikely he will ever fire him π€¦ββοΈ Problem is the man who saw him may have also seen him talking to Elvis Presley and The Pope in Aldis car park ,we dont know what agenda this man has or if he is just an attention seeker, who knows? Also Cummings may have many cars registered in his name. Boris is adamant his buddy hasnt done anything wrong so as you say there is probably more to this than we will know. If Cummings does go he will be replaced by someone similar, if Boris goes because of it he will be replaced probably by Dominic Raab , what certainly wont happen is that the Tory party will lose the government they are in power probably until 2 May 2024.And as Bigmartin says there is nothing we can do about it

Maybe Vicar or it could be someone in the plod really hates the Tories. who knows the real full truth. If Boris eventually goes because of it then do you really want Dominic Raab or Michael Gove to replace him? The government wont collapse because of the Cummings incident , it will just change management which may be far worse than now.

Canβt see many wanting to take the step up until after the virus has all settled down. Anyone that does will be under an increased amount of scrutiny from day one.

Having strived for power for so long he ain't going to let that go now. Hypothetically though I'd take Raab or Gove over Johnson any day of the week. Although it's a bit like asking if I'd like to be castrated with a rusty spoon, a soldering iron, or a sharp stone.

By the way was he wearing the same clothes on Saturday as he did yesterday - he just looks a scruffy b'stard I would have thought even though he's not in the government, for someone so high profile and close to Johnson that Cummings would have had some level of security provided by the authorities.Probably a lot more to come out of this and even more to be hushed up. I emailed my MP last night thanking Johnson for clearing up the lockdown rules and that I now intend to use my instinct and travel to various relatives just in case they might need any help. I'll let you know if I get a reply.
