Just finished watching the documentary on The Yorkshire Ripper on Netflix. I never knew Les Battersby found one of the victims. You learn something new every day.

Me and the wife have been watching “Leah Rimini: Scientology, the aftermath” on Netflix. I’m absolutely mind blown by the whole thing, having not known anything about it previously other than Tom Cruise being a bit of a nutter. Here’s the main things I’ve learnt so far;
- Complete devotion to a single leader. - Said leader, “leads” by bullying and intimidation. - Distribution to followers of “facts” of all the great things they are doing for mankind - all of them admitted by a defector in the show who used to do the video production - as a complete lie. - Followers hear said facts repeated over and over again so they believe them. - Discrediting the media for spreading lies. - Separating families. - Harassing and denouncing anyone that challenges them.
Does any of this sound familiar? 😂

It's remarkable, and Leah Remini did an incredible job. Pretty brave as well to leave and expose it.

I don't know if The Queen's Gambit has been mentioned yet but it's excellent and worth a look.

I don't know if The Queen's Gambit has been mentioned yet but it's excellent and worth a look. We are watching the Crown series 4 having just re-watched series 1-3. I must say the Aberfan episode in series 3 and the 'Michael Fagan in the Queen's bedroom episode'are really good. Although not exactly the truth in the case of the latter.
A show to make all of us Republicans

A show to make all of us Republicans I can't be bothered with the Royal Family myself, whether factual or fictional. I've heard good things about The Crown, and my wife has just started it, but I don't plan on it myself.

I'm more interested in the world events going on around them than I am their various woes. As a history lesson it's bloody brilliant. The horny teenager in me still can't process Gillian Anderson as Thatcher though.

I would echo what Fallowfield said about the world events and historical context. One of the best series I’ve seen too.

Watched the Tiger Woods documentary the other night. Absolutely outstanding. I believe it’s on Sky in UK.

Don't know if it's been mentioned, but "Lupin" on Netflix is a very enjoyable thriller.
Is "Serpent" worthy of the hype on BBC? Not watched it, but considering it.
