9 days to go until Succession starts again. Without question, the finest thing on telly at the moment. It's absolutely sensational. There's a few trailers up, not really any spoilers but a slight preview of what looks to have happened immediately after the end of S2. And then the more general trailers: Watched 1 and 2 based on recommendations here. Do they normally do an episode per week? If so, I might ignore it til I can binge watch. Can't be waiting for episodes. Also, not a TV recommendation, but went to watch The Many Saints of Newark last weekend, the Sopranos prequel. Really enjoyed that, would definitely recommend.

No mention of Squid Game AFAICS? By turns hilarious, toe-curling and heartbreaking. Not got the end yet so hoping it doesn’t go a bit naff at the end unlike (the otherwise truly excellent) Battle Royale which it is a little bit like, but so far so very very good!

We have been watching that and if you can get past the terrible dubbing (close to the Wayne's World scene where it was deliberately bad ) it's one if those where you just need to see how it all ends.

We've recently upgraded to Amazon Prime and the only one I can see thus far that's been recommended on here is, "Man in a High Tower."
However, I seem to recall that it's better watched having already watched another series. Is this so? Save me trawling through 23 pages of posts to find my answer.
Is MIAHT worth watching anyway?
Ta in advance.

All episodes of Brassic 3 are available on Sky now. Watched Ep1 as I was having my morning coffee and nearly sprayed the laptop with it. Highly recommended.

Pure silliness but great fun. Another comedy I’ve been enjoying is the cleaner with Greg Davies. Really funny series about a crime scene cleaner. I’ve also been meaning to watch Squid Games but I saw a piece yesterday that said all the subtitles were basically wrong when translated from Korean and the meanings of diff parts of the show had been lost. So was going to see if they make any changes to them.

Not really a recommendation, more having relevance to County
BBC2 Tuesday night 9pm - Dementia & Us
First of 2 programmes following 4 people with Dementia & how it affects them & their families
...anyway, one of the people featured is Alan Gilliver who played for County in the mid 70's

I guess the meaning of what was said in that particular moment is quite different, but I’d say there’s more to the characters than just their dialogue. Although they’re apparently editing it to remove a phone number that actually belongs to someone (rookie error!) so perhaps they will redo the subtitles too? I wouldn’t let it put you off either way though, personally…

Don’t think it’s been mentioned but the Blair & Brown documentary about new labour was really interesting. Lots of great commentary from all the key players at the time.
Some of the clips make you realise how little holding to account there is of politicians these days.

Fascinating to hear Blair and Brown's perspective of the New Labour journey. How they challenged and complemented each other to form a political partnership that was unplayable. Looking forward to the next instalment tomorrow night

Did anyone else watch Blankety Blank tonight? I found it good family entertainment for half an hour on a saturday night. I like a bit of chilled out, easy watching TV on a saturday evening.

Anyone watching The Vigil? Recommended? Normally my sort of thing, but I gave up on it, as the storyline seemed absurd. Others liked it so don't necessarily take my word for it!
