There was a post on the other board that has now disappeared without trace about good tv to watch. I'm not generally a great watcher of the box in the corner but with the restrictions in place over the past few months I've found myself watching more and more and have even subscribed to Netflix TV I've enjoyed and would recommend have been; Stranger (Netflix), Top Boy (Netflix), Scenic Railway Journeys (channel 5) and After Life (Netflix) I watched the much hyped White Lines and thought it was absolutely one of the worst things I've seen. I've enjoyed re-watching Derek and I'm working through Alan Partridge again. I'm also watching the Haunting of Hill house which so far is pretty good (2 episodes in). I've seen Chernobyl which I watched in completion on the plane home from Dubai early this year (thanks BA). I've recommended my wife watch it but can't find it anywhere? I've got Sunderland til I die, Ozark and better call Saul on my to do list but have heard mixed reviews about Ozark? Any other recommendations out there? I watched a programme on BBC 4 this week which I thoroughly enjoyed because I do love historical things but also because I now live here and want to understand that history when I visit places like Sevilla and Córdoba on my travels of discovery in this vast and diverse kingdom. It was called, "Blood and Gold, the Making of Spain." Part 1 was on on Wednesday. Parts 2 & 3 are on on the next 2 Wednesdays. The presenter, Simon Sebag Montefiore discovers something that happened to his ancestors in part 2. If history is your thing, this is a good watch.

Half way through Ozark which is holding my attention. That's such a good way of describing it; I'm not absolutely enamoured with it but I'm interested.

Coming towards the end of the first season of The Sopranos, Halfway through Justified and Near the end of the 3rd season of Ozark. We've watched the last series of Better Call Saul, Goliath, all 10 series of Spooks, Messiah, Good Omens, The Walking Dead and Fear the walking Dead since Lockdown started. We are starting The Wire once we've finished Ozark. We are doing one episode of each a day.
A mate recommends Banshee which is next on the list.

"Goliath" has been mentioned, and I'd second that (along with plenty of others like Tales From the Loop, Ozark, Better Call Saul...)
As far as Netflix goes, here are some I've watched and liked in the past year or so off the top of my head:
The End of the F***ing World I Am Not Okay With This Russian Doll Safe
Win the Wilderness is a surprisingly good "reality show". The couple at the centre of it are remarkable.
If you'd like a slow-paced, thoughtful, quirky, poetic "spacious" movie with Adam Driver in it, then take a look at "Paterson". I'm not embarrassed to say I've watched it three times so far. "Paddleton" is similarly paced; it's funny and moving in equal measure. A bit depressing even, be warned. Two more movies: "The Ballad of Buster Scruggs" (Coen Brothers); and, because it's pertinent at the moment, and also excellent: "I Am Not Your Negro".
And whenever this subject crops up, I'll always recommend Schitt's Creek.
Edit: Chernobyl is on Prime, by the way.

The same humor and mannerisms between the siblings that was previously hilarious, suddenly became a little tiresome for me.

This is also showing for no additional cost on sky box sets via on demand. 👍

The second series of What We Do in the Shadows has just hit iPlayer. The first is on there too, and also the film which gave rise to the series.
Vampire comedy, by Jermaine from Flight of the Conchords/Eagle vs Shark and Taiki Waititi of Thor Ragnarok/Jojo Rabbit/ some other brilliant smaller films like Boy and the Hunt for the Wildepeople.
Well worth watching.

I don't watch much telly other than Cops v Scrotes "realities" and sport but I'd recommend "Brassic" on Sky or You Tube. Comedy set around Rochdale, it's got Michelle Keegan in it, S1 is very good, S2 is absolutely cracking. I watch stuff like that in a morning when my other half is having a lie-in and I woke her up LOL-ing at S2 Ep2 the other day. Funnier than Fylde getting demoted.

Been watching Queen Of The South on Netflix, it's sadly not about football but again it's keeping my attention so far.

Watched a documentary on Netflix last night called “13th”, about the criminal justice system in the US and the roles each President has played in it since slavery was abolished. One of the most powerful films I’ve ever watched. Absolutely shocking and moving.

Just started watching the Salisbury Poisonings. Interesting stuff so far. I thought that was decent. BBC stuff is never going to have the depth/quality/budget of HBO or similar but I did enjoy it. I know it was the big thing a couple of months ago but thought Normal People was excellent. Really good stuff from the main two characters. Was expecting it to be proper mum fodder but it was very good.
