Hopefully they will be a distant memory and part of what will seem to have all been a bloody awful nightmare soon. I used to enjoy pre season friendlies at places like Hednesford but it's kind of ruined it for me.

Couldn't help laughing at one of the tweets to Alex Hey was from Dave Swanton - former mouthpiece for Sale Sharks, who recommended the employment law Solicitor who sorted out his 'grievance with his former employers'...what goes around comes around !

This is what Dan Bradley who left Fylde yesterday has just tweeted in reply to Alex Hay who used scout for us and was at Fylde and Fylde owe him money If you look at all Dan Bradley recent "liked" tweets they're all derogatory to Fylde and chairman Something more than meets the eye than them just being a bunch of whoppers Magnificent stuff. I don't like to laugh at another club's misfortune, but it's Fylde, so I will. They've gone now like FCUM and Stalybridge, no need to concern ourselves with them. I don't remember bridge being as arrogant and elitist as FC United fans, maybe I missed something? 8.0.2

Is this the same Alex Hay who was briefly our scout under Young(?)?

There always seemed to be a bit of needle from the Stalybridge players as much as anything - McConville / Bitey Rule / Dicko going crazy when scoring against us being the three particularly standing out.
Was just a bit of a contrast with the other traditional local non league sides such as Ashton / Alty where we were looked on as a notable local scalp, rather than trying to manufacture some fake rivalry.

Without sounding like billy big bollocks, playing County is the pinnacle for most of the local non league lads so they were always bound to be up for it, aggressive and treat it like a cup final.
I’m good friends with someone high up with one of our old national league north rivals and he was absolutely devastated when we got promoted, we were a big earner for the local semi pro sides but hopefully that will be a distant memory soon (although I’m not planning the championship parade just yet as it will be a very tough season in my opinion)

I used to enjoy pre season friendlies at places like Hednesford but it's kind of ruined it for me. Remember going to Alfreton in around 2006 for a pre season friendly and thinking how much of a shit stadium it was. Didn’t even realise I’d been to the stadium before when I went again about 5 years ago until I got in the ground. Used to be ace going places like Leek aswell, but I think we have all had enough of tin pot stadiums for a lifetime. Walking down that little driveway to North Ferribys ground and getting beat still haunts me, that’s another team I never want to hear about again.

Will be glad to see Fylde become the next North Ferriby, shame it involves people like Mr Hay struggling for their livelihoods Hopefully they will be a distant memory and part of what will seem to have all been a bloody awful nightmare soon. Did you go to the old Fylde ground, that was as bad as anything you mentioned, it was just a field behind a pub on a quiet country lane. Going to somewhere like Vauxhall Motors for a friendly was fine in the past; going there for a league game was humiliating

I remember when FA Cup 1st round draw used to come along when we were in the league, would always hope we'd pull somone like Ferriby, Histon, Brackley and have a bit of an adventure. I also thought we'd have one season in the sixth tier, piss it and take about 2000 to every game on the way to 100 points. The brutal reality quickly hit home.

Is this the same Alex Hay who was briefly our scout under Young(?)? Came here to say the same thing. Pretty sure it is. Who was the other scout Young brought in? The one who said Joe Garvin could open a tin of peas with his left foot.
