Fylde’s owner is one of the most unlikable people I’ve ever listened to. I watched a few of his YouTube videos throughout lockdown and it makes you so grateful that we’ve got someone like Stott.

Look I have a beef with all these plastic clubs. Don't start me on harrogate, when weaver gets a better job and his dad gets bored they'll turn the ground into VERY expensive housing. Rushden & diamonds are a casing point. However I'm going to speak up for haythornthwaite. Fair play to him for his communications as there's been very little leadership or communications from the national league. That's what should have happened. Glad they've been relegated though. Less threat for us and as Chester/ York/ kidderminster are proving it's a hard league to get out of! So it will be cheerio to fylde for good hopefully!

I’m still not convinced it was done to give an insight on what goes on. The cynic in me thinks he was just trying to push his agenda. I wouldn’t trust him as far as I could throw him. He’s now suggesting a salary cap now that his money won’t blow the rest of the league out the water like it did until they got to this level.

Good points however I'd have been a big fan of the salary cap before February this year!

I still am. Owners can't be trusted to look after the clubs they have a duty to protect.
But the brassneck of someone who has done what they've done at Fylde to start bleating about it is something else. You'd love to think he's had some Damascene conversion. But he won't have done.

The communications are interesting, however why would you speak up for Haythornthwaite.
If he hasn't been paying his staff or giving them the redundancy pay they are due, and completely avoiding communications, as suggested in that Twitter message, then that is completely unacceptable.
Times are very hard for the football industry, but the government are providing a furlough scheme. Why are his staff alledgely going without pay or redundancy money?

He just comes across as someone who only values his opinion and wants everything to benefit him/Fylde. Usually a trait seen in some people of a certain level of wealth where money can influence a lot of situations but to set a salary cap at the point in which he’s reached his level of desired bankrolling is laughable isn’t it? Would they be anywhere near the Conference if they’d had a salary cap from the day he took ownership? No. All a case of him now trying to prevent them from plummeting back to the depths they were at before.
