JJ and Kitching out with knocks 😬 Unfortunate to lose both left sided players. Presume these are training injuries as don't remember Kitching getting injured last week? Sounds like it. C.Jennings apparently benched as a precaution due to missing a couple of sessions this week too.

Anyone else not really arsed about today? Just feel like a cup run is a bit pointless without fans. At least with the league we are building towards a future with fans so anything we do now will benefit us when we can return. Really doubt there will be any point that we’re in the cup where fans will be back. Even if we got to the last 8. Also feels like it would a waste if we did gave a big run right now. Obviously I want us to win as it grows confidence in the team and it’s great for the club but the whole cup thing I can do without this season --- That doesn't seem to be Jim Gannon's view after hearing his preview interview..

Thomas Vs Cropper will be an interesting battle. Cropper looked good going forward, but not too great defensively against Kitching. Will Thomas have as much joy on the attack? Will he be able to handle Cropper defensively?
It's a good chance for MSH, Croasdale and Bell to get some minutes this afternoon.

Despite the two players omitted through injury, it is still a team to make most teams blanche if they are playing us at EP.

Anyone unable to access the stream?
All I've got on the homepage is a link to the digital match programme but no streaming option?

I’m planning on steaming every league game but I went back and forth on this one today. Maybe because this feels like a potential title winning season, the cup has lost a bit of importance for me. Having said that, I just bought it 😂

Possibly but Jim also mentioned a few niggles which can often occur in a ''down week'' (i.e. no Tues game). Hopefully it's just a precaution and they'll be back Tues. It may be a good thing as hopefully they've avoided a proper injury with the added rest.

Making chances, but Chesterfield look dangerous with pace on the wings.
They're playing 4-3-3 (or might be 5-2-3) rather than 3-5-2 like the last game. I wonder if we'll switch to a back 4 ( though don't really have the personnel) to combat the wide forwards exposing the wide CBs. Jim usually likes the back 3 when they're up against 2 strikers.

This is dismal from County so far.

I wouldn't go that far, but not brilliant. Got to give some credit to Chesterfield too who are looking much better with the 3 up front, including some pace.
Our best outlet has probably been the Bennett flick-on to Minihan running down the right. Lacking a bit of quality and Rooney is trying to do a little too much.

Poorest half of the season from us, for me. Losing too many 50-50s, sloppy in possession, careless with giving away cheap free kicks. We need to be a lot, lot better in the second half.

6 games this season. 6 draws at half-time. Hardly a surprise!
Hopefully the quality we have on the bench and them playing the extra game Tuesday, plus a Jim HT special will get us the win in the 2nd half.

Very average so far. We've played a lot more hoofball than usual, and they've played a bit more football in comparison to last week.
The lack of a proper left sided player has certainly damaged us, as we're trying to get everything down the right, and they're pretty well set for that tactic.
Don't know whether going more towards a back 4 might be an option - guess it would have to be Stott at LB and Reid at LW, unless one of the youngsters is left sided.
Bloody unfortunate to have all three natural left sided players in Jennings, Kitching & Williams out at the same time.
