One of those rare politicians who was in it for the right reasons, he contributed a lot to the area...& you'd never catch him sending photos of his meat & 2 veg to a complete stranger ! However there would be other things politicians would have done in the past that were equally not a popular thing to do in that era. It’s just it was easier back then to keep things quiet from their family never mind the general public. Once in the public gaze it must be hard to have a squeeky clean existance. Must it?

Andrew Stunnell, former MP for Hazel Grove One of those rare politicians who was in it for the right reasons, he contributed a lot to the area...& you'd never catch him sending photos of his meat & 2 veg to a complete stranger ! The wife of a work colleague was most upset when she found out that her husband had sent a 'dick pic' to her sister. She says her sister doesn't even like Boris Johnson.

I saw Andrew Stunnell on the A6 in the Grove at the end of the coalition days, when it was obvious the Lib Dem’s were going to be destroyed in the next election. He was stood next to a sign inviting people to meet their MP, in the 10 minutes or so I was waiting for my bus not a single person stopped to talk to him, he had the look of a man resigned to his fate.

Wonder if he got a nice all expenses paid annual trip to a vitally important tourism conference in an exotic location like another Lord we know.

Sad to see Bernard Hill go today.
Boys from the Blackstuff was a bit before my time, but it seems very relevant in the current climate.
Heartbreakingly brilliant series 👏

Very fitting that on the night of his death he's been entertaining an audience
