Dave Myers, one half of The Hairy Bikers. Sad news, would imagine Si King will be lost without him. Proper down to earth northern lads who made a career doing what they loved best, cooking, chatting & riding bikes
RIP Dave

A bit of a Sean Lock type death for me, in terms of actually feeling sad about a celebrity death.
Genuinely loveable guy and can’t imagine many, if any, have a bad word to say about him. Lived the dream, riding around all over the world and trying some fantastic food, all with his best mate.
RIP.

Echoing what others have said about Dave Myers, genuinely saddened to hear of his passing. Loved the hairy bikers tv shows & you could tell their friendship was genuine & not manufactured for tv. My mate owns a cafe in Dunure in Scotland & he had the pleasure of a surprise visit from one half of the hairy bikers in Si King last year, said he was a lovely down to earth bloke & I imagine Dave was exactly the same. R.I.P. Dave.

One of our favourite meals is Spanish chicken which they made when they toured this part of the World. They did part of one episode in the castle of the city I now watch my football in, Lorca. A sad loss indeed. RIP Dave.

A sad loss indeed. RIP Dave. Yeah, we regularly have the Hairy Bikers' Spanish Chicken. It's gorgeous, innit? I was looking for something to do when we and my wife went to London a few years ago, and spotted they were doing a show. Live cooking on the stage of the Palladium, which is something I never thought I'd type. Good fun, though, and confirmed what great mates they were. Really sad loss. RIP.

A little tip is use a picante chorizo. Gives it a lovely spicy kick. It works with meatballs too.

If absolutely agree I love cooking this dish, I swap the chorizo out for chicken sausages because the missus doesn't like chorizo and it's still brilliant!

And, as mentioned in the obituary, he wrote She's the One, later to become a hit for Robbie Williams.
