I agree. If done right, it would look quality and County is such a big part of the Stockport community. On the side of the building before the Armoury on Shaw Heath Road (where the billboard is now) would be perfect and visible from cars heading to the roundabout.
Picking a moment or individual(s) would be difficult though!

Agree with that, although I'd add Jim to that.
The murals are great. Klopp's Guest House looks fab - Trip Adviser review and pics tell you all you need to know.

Danny and Kev would be great, but they haven't been involved with County for over 20 years, whereas Jim was part of that golden era and is still part of us today.
I think we could argue til the cows come home who should be on a County mural.

Some belters in there. Slightly perplexed at the Maradona one in Naples not being from his playing days. If Tranmere can have some, we can! Danny and Kev would be superb. Jimbo deserves one too as long as there a big Irish flag as the backdrop.

Would love to see some of this. Especially on the side of a house next to the ground and around the roundabout/ground approach. Pretty jealous of Tranmere tbh. They’ve got murals and statues around the ground. It looks good.

I think we could argue til the cows come home who should be on a County mural. exactly. the only downside is some no brain group of away fans rolling up and defacing the mural where a tit for tat approach could kick off.

Funny that this has come up, I also thought about this as I walked past at weekend. It'd look great on the first houses on Caroline Street that are side on with Mercian Way.
If somebody is willing to knock on and have a word with the home owner I'm sure we could benefit them with a new render of the side of their house covered in a mural of a club legend.
I'm sure there would be plenty of people who would contribute if it was possible.

I'm sure there would be plenty of people who would contribute if it was possible. I know two people who live in the immediate terraced environs of EP.. one is an ex work colleague who bought a house on Hardcastle Street and then was surprised to hear what sounded like 'a lot of blokes shouting' penetrating her double glazing on the first Saturday afternoon, I had to break it to her gently she'd bought a house next to a league football ground... The other is a bloke I played five a side with, a Forest fan whose only visit to the ground has been to the away end: 'it was great, I saw Forest and was home for Sports Report'. They're both amenable types though, and I'm sure that neither would baulk at the suggestion of an eighteen-foot-high painting of Super Kevin Francis on their gable end as long as it was tastefully accomplished. Hell if that doesn't boost your resale price in the SK3 first-time-buyer market by a couple of grand I don't know what will!
