Brilliant idea. Older fans would love to see that on matchdays plus getting up the noses of the gravy. It'd be defaced within days, I'd rather it be a celebration of us rather than a dig at anyone else. New idea, one that takes a dig at someone else AND will be defaced within days AND no one will care Mary Gibbons

All of these are too obvious. We need a big painting of an e-cigarette, no context. If you know, you know.

It will certainly disappoint people when its done. We all have an idea of what we would like on it. Personally, id love The various badges Harry Hardy Trever Porteous Eric Webster Danny Bergara Jim Gannon Big Kev but i know whoever does it has their own agenda and favourites. I,d be open to all ideas as long as it gets done properly like the danny statue was and not someone with artistic licence where we have to work out who or what it represents.

There was a bloke there this morning with a pressure washer, although he'd gone by the time came past again and the wall didn't look much cleaner.

Or just a pen and a pencil? Pencils and pens - plural - please. Does Ken really say 'pencils and pens' as opposed to 'pens and pencils' which surely would be the choice of most? If so my admiration for him rises even more. I wonder if in non-tannoy situations he also refers to 'vinegar and salt', a touch of 'tickle and slap', and (as an ex-Policeman) the importance of 'Order and Law'. We'll never find out, of course.

I always imagined it was a covert Searchers reference, but I might just as easily have got so carried away with that idea that I misheard him each time, every time.

Knowing our luck he'll probably pick up a long term shoulder injury while painting!

Fourteen thousand pounds?
I can’t help but think there’s better ways of spending that money in Edgeley.

I’d love to know the money is being divvied up. If the building owner is getting more than £1k, that’s very generous.
That leaves £13,800 among the artist, the poet (not sure why you need a poet when it’s lyrics written by County fans) and then your costs (some scaffolding and paint).
Seems like a piss take to me.
