Don’t be negative. It’s exciting and stuff like this is way, way overdue.
Noticed the cafe had closed recently. Hopefully one day it returns back to a pub.

Hopefully the 1st of more similar stuff.
Was working in Leeds recently and went for a stroll round the ground, all the communication boxes at the sides of the road are painted up in different stuff relating to leeds. Loads of stuff done round their ground by different people.

£14k does seem a bit excessive. This will probably give you a feel for what it'll look like: Artist info

I’d love to know the money is being divvied up. If the building owner is getting more than £1k, that’s very generous. That leaves £13,800 among the artist, the poet (not sure why you need a poet when it’s lyrics written by County fans) and then your costs (some scaffolding and paint). Seems like a piss take to me. Think the poet will just be sat there looking pensive whilst the artist and Jack Stretton do the hard work. That's what you pay poets for.

Fourteen thousand pounds? I can’t help but think there’s better ways of spending that money in Edgeley. Like lots of things th funding will come from a specific pot that can’t be used for other stuff.

From what I’ve seen on other social media sites it seems that the words of “The Scarf” may be made up of smaller pieces of text from local school children, it all sounds promising and positive.

Lovely stuff. Pity the poet isn't Jacques "Jacques" Liverot but you can't have everything.

Lovely stuff. Pity the poet isn't Jacques "Jacques" Liverot but you can't have everything. In Leeds there is the burley Banksy. Everything that can have a mural has one. An electricity sub station at the bottom of our road is painted on rhinos colours with ls16 on it. Much better than grey. At hyde Park corner there's a fantastic picture of bielsa. We need Jim with a quote "together everyone achieves more" in town!

Would be great if County murials became a thing across the town. Wonder if, now that we're not on the bones of our arse, fan fundraising could be redirected into that kind of thing..?

Crap pic, but passed it before. Saw it briefly while driving past earlier (eyes on the road etc 😀) and thought the Blue may be a shade too light, hopefully not

Spray paint on that level is very expensive, looking at £1k+ for a wall that size

Thought someone had had a go at it already when I went past a little while ago, but it was the shadow from the “Welcome to Edgeley” sign!
