This is an embarrassment We’ve lost this game due to indiscipline and nothing else Stupid fouls being given away all over the shop (all the new players by the way, not the old guard). The GOB used to moan about the fact we were top of the fair play league and didn’t “take one for the team” or “get stuck in” This is what happens when you do that. Shambles I’m sorry but there’s no way we are going up with Rusk in charge, I guarantee we would have gone up if Jim had stayed. I thought I’d got over Jim’s sacking but it’s all come flooding back again tonight. “I guarantee we’d have gone up if Jim had stayed”. What utter rubbish, we’ve no idea at all if that would have been the case or not .... You can guarantee that if we don't, people will say, "We wouldn't have under Gannon," so it's swings and roundabouts.

And I reckon there'll be a few who make claims like this as a way to divert from a performance that they'd be heavily criticising had Gannon still been in charge. We’d had plenty of poor performances before tonight, especially at home for anyone who wanted to criticise JG. Apart from the Weymouth game what other home games are you referring to?

Fact is these players, mainly the newer recruits, are Billy big bollocks. Both in their reactions to games and criticism. When it's going well its gonna be brilliant but in scrappy games on shit pitches against disciplined teams we will lose.

Oh I’ll support the new manager. I hope he realises that he needs to instill some discipline in some of these players. I have a feeling he’ll treat the “stars” of the team like youth players and be pally and soft with them. If he takes that approach we've had it, got to clamp down now or he'll never have any authority, doesn't have to be public, but needs to happen, big challenge for him this

Very obvious projection going on here. Those who wanted Jim gone spent most games taking great satisfaction from anything that went wrong and they think everyone else thinks the way that they do. Jim has gone and I've come terms with it. If we play well and win, I'll be a happy man. If we play as poorly as we have tonight, make baffling changes and self destruct I'm going to have something something to say about it. Tonight has been undeniably awful. I didn’t want Jim gone and I believe the new manager made a mistake by not bringing Stott on for the injured Kitching but I’m going to give him a run of games before I hang him out to dry. We’ve been crap against the best sides no matter who’s been in charge and that needs to change sharpish.

Barely strung 3 passes together. Not one cross delivered in to the box and can’t even remember a real shot on target.
Be interesting to see what Rusk makes of this and I hope he doesn’t use the sending off as some sort of excuse.

Do you ever make sense. I’m not saying it isn’t disappointing and I expect better but we’ve had performances just as bad if not worse than this this season is my point. Hartlepool and Notts County away were terrible showings. I didn’t think Rusk was the man because of Saturday and I don’t think he’s a dude because of tonight. I’m just prepared to give him a chance - many, who claimed they were, proving to be liars. I’m giving Rusk plenty of time. It’s ill discipline from the players that I’m angry about. I hope he stamps it out.

Can see a lot more frustrating games coming if we keep up with this pedestrian passing round the back. We’ve offered absolutely nothing tonight and been so easy to defend against.

It’s only swings and roundabouts if someone were daft enough to claim they “guarantee” it wouldn’t have happened. Either scenario is impossible to proof, but for anyone to claim anything was guaranteed is talking rubbish and that was my point.

The thing that’s coming into my head now, and it’s probably an easy thing to say whilst we’re 2-0 down at home, but what a baffling time to sack Jim. What a ridiculous risk to take when we had something to lose in the league. I could’ve seen us winning tonight and catching up with Torquay when Jim was here. I can’t now.

If the Hogan red was for the foul surely the ref would have done that first, then dealt with the Maynard dissent

Why could you see us winning tonight under Jim. We failed to win/score against Notts, Torquay, Solihull and Hartlepool - basically anyone decent in the league this season.

It was ill discipline to give away the penalty full stop. He should never have dived in like that and it was a stonewall penalty.
