This season we have played 5 games against the teams currently in play off positions...we have drawn 2 (against Alty) , and lost 3 (Torquay, Hartlepool, Notts). What a game to put down a marker and beat the team who we share the same points with, and potentially move into 2nd in the table. I'm really looking forward to this one, and as said above, it's one that would have a decent midweek crowd following the game yesterday. Just hope none of their players wake up with a runny nose. Appreciate that in this covid world home team advantage is watered down somewhat, but of those 5 games, 4 have been away. The home game against Alty we threw it away as well. Don't think he mentioned home advantage ,but we've not been good in home games Weymouth Solihull Boreham Wood Not sure any league games at home have been that convincing

Do any of the old trends like home form, results against teams at the top, conceding scrappy goals etc apply anymore, now that we’ve got the new Eddie Howe?
Anything less than a swashbuckling win would be disappointing surely.

Good point against a decent team.

Tough, tough game. Be great if we were in the ground for this one. Any chance you can ammend the title of this thread to include 7pm kick off time again? Wouldn't want anyone tuning in 45 mins late, and missing another goal fest.

did a bit of my own scouting on saturday and streamed their game at hartlepool. both teams missed a couple of chances each but somehow they didn,t look like scoring. they looked better on the break than they did in possesion. main threat was their wide right player who had very good close ball control and was difficult to de posess. the usual big lad upfront who put himself about and was lucky he didn,t receive a card. hope we manage to get a decent ref as their players go down at every opportunity just to break the game up and gain cheap free kicks. their defence looked quite steady though but didn,t look too comfortable against a decent cross which provided the pools winner. our wide men could be the key tomorrow if their balls into the box are spot on. risking a 2-1 win for us.

Latest form guide coming up to this match: COUNTY 3W 3D Sutton 2W 2D 2L Thinking we'll carry our momentum through and win 2-1. Rooney and Reid with the goals

I’m guessing the wide right player who looked a threat you refer to was David Ajiboye. He’s only 22 but is one of those players who does nothing for long periods but then comes alive all of a sudden. There’s definitely a player in there and if he learns to do it for longer periods in games he could play in the league. I think he has been doing it more this season and it’s no surprise to me that coincides with Sutton being near the top. Neither team has scored in 180 minutes between County and Sutton. Honestly wouldn’t surprise me if it was another 0-0 although I don’t think it will be. As someone said elsewhere this is a must not lose game more than a must win, but I’m hoping for 3 points.

This is a must win game with three home games on the run we are capable of winning all three, which would set us up for the rest of the season and be back on two points per game if we do win them by Saturday week. The lads are playing to impress the new set up and will continue to do so, I hope 3-1 CJ, Croasdale and Reid.

I’m confident we’ll get a win on Tuesday and then follow it in typical County fashion with a defeat against Yeovil in front of the BT cameras 😂

Sutton are 18th. Yeovil should definitely be the tougher of the two games on paper, but football isn't played on paper, it's played on grass or in our case a ploughed mud patch.
