Manager discussion to one side, I just really missed this tonight. Some of those players out there need to take a real, hard look at themselves.

Poor pitch. Poor Game. We were undoutedly il-disciplined as others have said-- but we were also slow and we offered nothing in attack. I was impressed with Sutton Utd, who were lively and quick and played some good football in the final third. Simon Rusk has a lot of thinking to do. Our preformances against the top teams ( Torquay, Notts County, Hartlepool now Sutton) have not been good enough to get us out of this league.

Poor performance all round really.
Will be interesting to see 1) if Rusk is asked about the indiscipline in his post match interview (think both Reid and Maynard got booked for mouthing off at the ref, plus the tackle for the pen from Hogan was completely unecessary) and 2) how he deals with it.
No-one really came out of that game particularly well, maybe MSH, Kitching and Minihan at a push.

Bad day at the office there.
Shame as I thought we’d looked alright in the first half. Liked the fact we were controlling possession and we missed a few chances.
On the sending off if it’s for the challenge, I hope we appeal. If it’s for abusive language then I hope we dock him a couple of weeks wages.
Hinchliffe for me can go. If we’re going to look to keep possession and play it out from the back he’s not that option. Great penalty save though. I thought Jennings was really poor tonight. MSH rightly getting MOTM - continued to offer something going forward all game.
Think tonight we’ve seen the lack of consistency that we’ve seen all season. Can turn it on some games and then others don’t find our rhythm. Probably as bad as performance as Weymouth at home but not quite the Hartlepool and Notts levels of s*** I think.
It will be interesting to see what happens on Saturday now. We need a reaction.

That was dreadful. If we can be jubilant about Saturday, we can be scathing about tonight. Utter shite. Needs a big response on Saturday. I hate to say it because it’s outrageously early but if we get dicked on Saturday, he’s going to be under pressure already. Sadly that’s the world we live in. This is not his squad, let’s judge him after at least ten games, his team will get better second half of the season, etc etc. Sound familiar?

It's not Rusk under pressure, it's Wilson he's the architect of this balls up. We never suffered player indiscipline until he arrived................

I'm starting to believe that the consistency is nothing to do with us, it's just the standard of the opposition.

Why could you see us winning tonight under Jim. We failed to win/score against Notts, Torquay, Solihull and Hartlepool - basically anyone decent in the league this season. Why wouldn’t I have had reason to believe we could beat Sutton United at home under our greatest ever manager? Because of our recent form under said manager against similar sides.

Not many positives at all from it. Rusk has got a few things to address and he needs to address them quickly based on that.
Jim or Rusk, that wasn’t great.
This was a big game after a good win on Saturday, now a big reaction needed vs Yeovil.

Don't think he will be calling the shots on transfers either though. At best he will be working alongside Wilson. I would agree he needs to be given time and other than playing people out of position in the second half, you can't really blame too much of tonight on Rusk. More the players and those who forced Jim out.

But this is the pressure Wilson et al have put on Rusk. He won’t be given the luxury of time with a lot of supporters because they’ve replaced a legend who was doing well. This is not a normal set of circumstances unfortunately for Rusk.

Cannot understand the sub. Surely Stott being a left sided defender was the obvious choice to drop in at LB? Then shoved Williams on the right wing who I saw do nothing of note as per usual.
