We also seem to have our reputation/club ambition/player current ability fixed compared to last season too. The 5 year plan is now reflecting Stott's Championship in the next few years goals and ground improvements which is nice, should mean you continue to get healthy transfer values.
Squad looks good - Powell still rated as a 'leading championship' player and Collar has had a big update. Should be even easier. No pre-game editor or in-game editors yet to take a look at the hidden stats of Stott etc or the actual CA of the players.
I'll stop being a saddo now..

It wasn’t the one where SW featured, but another of Ryan McKnight’s webinars was about sandboxing real-life strategy in Football Manager! Please tell me you are joking Nope. I mean the guy’s really earnest and that, but after the anecdote about Nyal Bell in the other thread, you do have to wonder…

Please tell me you are joking Ron Atkinson used to scout players from Champ Man (Actually I'm probably misremembering, but I do remember a story about him being impressed with the game, late '90s)

What, they use Champ Man 97/98? Fair play if so, might be a little out of date though.

Big Fat Racist Ron being a video game player is one of the more unlikely suggestions I’ve heard

Imagine asking anyone to open a thread on a Stockport County forum about video games, and asking them to name 2 people connected to Man United who will be mentioned. Many will say Rooney, Ronaldo, Fergie etc... but hats off to anyone who said Steve Bruce and Big Ron Atkinson.

Anyway back to real video games, I have just dug out the international Football cartridge for the Commodore 64, proper blocky but somehow still addictive, also tried Kick Off on the Atari ST, really wasn't how I fondly remember it but I will persevere.

This video gives a good explanation around what he did and why it's being regarded as a big deal

I'm not a big gamer but I had a c64 and also international football... was there an international basketball game too? Or am I reinventing my childhood?

I didn't have it but I'm sure there was... got a spare 64 if anyone wants to relive their youth.
