Just bobbed into the revamped white lion. First impressions is the decor is lovely. The sports bar on the lower floor looks great. Prices about what you'd expect.
The snob in me says the clientele is similar to the ones who used to go in. A bit chestergate-y.
Like I said, I'm a snob.

Went in the Banshee - the old Glass Spider - the Guinness was excellent although it is slow going to get served. Was in a pub in Stoneybatter Batter in Dublin recently, they must have had 100+ punters in and two serving. Never had to wait. They were phenomenal.

Stepping Hill has been sued for £30 million Someone’s after 30 million or someone’s been awarded 30 million? Awarded - for ongoing care, required because negligence resulted in a kid having life changing complications. Really sad. For the family, and for local people who will likely feel the consequences as well.

No idea on how much stepping Hill have money wise but it seems to be struggling in other areas - does it have that kind of money?

Expect some supply disruption if you’re into this sort of thing: Electricity tip-off leads to £5m cannabis farm www.bbc.com/news/articles/cjmmgr0247xoI’m guessing this was the boarded-up place opposite Fab Music?

I could be expecting a visit from the drugs squad then after British Gas changed their billing system and just made up a random meter reading. Apparently last winter I used 12000 KWh (my average over last 3 years was about 1000KWh a year)
Hope they don’t wreck the Xmas decorations when they raid the attic.

Loads of people getting caught out. Something to do with old imperial meters being billed as metric so the usage appears to go up drastically. Glad I kicked BG into touch.
