But that's not the comparison I was making as you well know. I don't think so then. There was little if any food available with the concentration being on drinking. And there was more of a dj and party, stay there for the whole evening vibe about it. That's certainly the way it sounded from just up the road, with noticeably more noise, music, people, etc... late into the evening and night than on a Foodie Friday, So similar but not the same. So isn’t it a late afternoon /early evening event. Foodie Friday does similar hours. Pretty clear to me that that is what Vicar meant.

Foodie Friday kicks off about 6pm but the food vans and stalls pack up and go by 9pm after which the crowds dwindle dramatically - those with kids go home, a lot of folks head into Manchester to really get the night started, and the noise and commotion drops off a lot. This one was still rammed, noisy, music playing, as busy as it had been all evening at closer to midnight. At comfortably gone midnight we were still hearing the revellers from it, for Foodie Friday we tend to hear bugger all from them after about 10pm. So like I say, similar to Foodie Friday, but no not the same. There is a subtle and important difference.

According to SK1 records who’s even it was it was scheduled to end at 11pm but apparently finished earlier due to size of the crowd. So would seem there a fair few lingerers if you still had noise close to midnight

Next to Strawberry Studios opposite the plane crash memorial. So not far off 🙂

In my experience the market is still busy long after the food stalls have gone, it does thin out quite a bit as people take their kids home but the pubs are still busy, anyway I think we've established that the Spin Off event runs a bit later.

Just drove past the site of the new Greggs drive through on Edgeley Road/ Stockport Road.
That it going to cause traffic chaos at busy times. You might die of old age waiting to get back onto the main road.

You might die of old age waiting to get back onto the main road. Really surprised it got the go ahead. Heard its going to be in one side out the other but at a major junction its crazy. Just like the McD drive through in Hazel Grove. Coming from Poynton one Saturday lunchtime, turned left at the Rising Sun and the inside lane traffic was stationary. All queuing to go to McDs! Crazy!. Can see something similar happening in Cheadle Heath.

Good stuff. Hopefully the tenants who have agreed lets in the flats above were aware of the plans to reopen as a pub, as I imagine that could cause conflict.

I’m sure it was made clear as Night and Day at the time… Yeah, those tenants were idiots. Like anyone moving next to county and complaining about ground improvements. This is a bit different as it wasn't an open venue. Might not be an issue though, as the tenants may have been informed.

It’s been on the hoardings for ages and anyone moving in would surely ask what's happening there.
