Got to feel for their fans, to be seemingly given a lifeline & for it to then go all tits up again & be facing extinction within a matter of weeks is cruel.

Incredible isn't it. The compensation must be interesting. As long as that absolute chode Savage is there, it'll keep happening.

" I really don't want to leave, so I've no choice but to make myself manager" is quite the take. I know it's harsh on him, as he's his own man, but I'll be glad if Charlie Savage keeps as far away from the club as possible.

Like the club couldn't firstly demand a reasonable fee if he was approached (Which I'm not buying he was at all) and then just appoint another DOF, presumably who is actually capable of doing the job properly. This will end in tears if/when he does a really shite job as manager and the fans turn. If they haven't already. His bestest westest friend in the whole wide world is Chairman, who'll just pull the plug. Absolute basket case territory.

I know that it probably belongs in the ex player thread but it feels more relevant to this. Interesting set of tweets - a month ago to today.

I realise now the second one might also be a piss take as well. But I initially read it as him trying to get himself signed 😂🤦♂️

Not the sharpest tool in the old shed that lad.

Duxbury plays for Radcliffe who won the NPL and Macc missed out on promotion in the play off final to Marine on the date of the first tweet. I don't think there was much love lost between the teams.

Its easy to know why that is. They have made themselves disliked and will get teams giving it a bit more when they play them. Possibly they might have been promoted if they weer less high profile.
