Until there’s a vacancy Wilson can’t be sure of what standard of applicant he can attract. But once the advert package is out there I would imagine the standard would be high. In the meantime Dave Conlon can keep it ticking over. Create the vacancy and they will come 😜

I honestly don’t think sacking Simon Rusk would achieve much, unless Simon Wilson is binned with him. Or, a new manager is brought in who has the authority to do things his way, and Wilson’s role is to do nothing more than support that. A leopard does not change its spots. If Wilson remains he will be a millstone around a new manager's neck.

You’d like to think not, but since our recent player recruitment has consisted of whoever’s available immediately and for nothing it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that our manager recruitment will follow suit.

The last players we seemed to sign that had any sort of plan behind them were all Jim’s. Rooney, Bennett, Williams etc. I’m not saying they were a success but at least they felt intentional. Now if that was Jim doing that, it would suggest this massive recruitment team haven’t really done a lot

I’d been told Rusk’s name within 80 mins of Jim being fired. He knew Jim was going and there was a vacancy before Jim did. He was part of the whole plan. Maybe not the brains behind it, but he was part of the plot. It’ll be no different this time round. People may enquire about the role, but I very much doubt there will be a ‘situations vacant’ affair.

If it’s anything like what we’ve seen so far there isn’t a Plan B… so they might have no option but to advertise.

There should always be a list of managers we’d want to approach if there was a vacancy so that if the need arises we can act quickly and not go weeks waiting to appoint someone. Just got to hope the names on Wilson’s list this time around are the right ones!

What’s worrying me is they will let him keep his job until Quigley is fit and playing… by which time it will be too late for us this season.

There’s a difference.

Anyone with any sense would have planned for what happens if one of Madden, Quigley or Reid pick up an injury? These clowns couldn’t think of that happening, so have been caught out to our cost. The opposition would realise that and play for it happening.

m20 how was your evening? Better entertainment than the afternoon I am sure? Quality thanks. But surreal seeing the lads playing at an arena, having seen them at some proper dives, but they deserve all the success they get. There aren’t many better songwriters about at the moment and their music is made to be played live.

There’s a difference. You’re always going to have a number one target. Don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. Plus having one lined up before the incumbent goes is fairly standard the higher up the pyramid you go.

Rusk says our poor performances leave him scratching his head to think what is wrong.
If you are still in charge on Saturday, can I recommend Simon, that you wear a face covering and watch among our fans in the Cheadle End. You will soon learn what is wrong!!! I can guarantee our fans won’t know who you are!!!

I sincerely hope that at SCFC both HR and the legal team are sorting out exit contract and pay off , thus leaving media team to announce that Rusk is no longer in charge.
I cannot take anymore of this type of boring football with a manager that is just not suited to be a leader of men and who does not understand the basics of building a team
