Reid reminds me of Jason Oswell but not as good Oswell would make a nuisances of himself with defenders .Reid just doesn't get involved Completely different types of player. You're comparing apples with oranges. Like two peas in a pod Both have good goal scoring records for County .but other than that....not very good players

Reid works better with someone alongside him doing the dirty work, as we saw last season.

Think JG blamed him for Southport scoring a goal .still don't know why he got all the blame

Oswell was average and benefited massively from the way we played that first 6 months of the season. That second half of the season he was distinctly poor.
No surprise he’s done been at best average in national north since leaving us..
He’s never scored at conference level like Reid has so struggle to see the argument that he’s better than him.

After that he went to Wrexham for 18 months, scoring three times. He's now at Telford in NLN.

Apart from him, and Osbourne who has done okayish at Stevenage, Most have completely flopped.

Yeah well, the current management team seems to be doing their level best to be Yin to the previous regime’s Yang…

You're correct .but it's irrelevant what any player does after leaving County ...any player going from NLN into the football league must have had a good season Oswell Lloyd Osbourne Warburton did we only have four .thought we had more ?

And it's quite a list of floppers, or at least 'never quite lived up to expectationers'. Duxbury who used to tear up the left side for us, disappeared without trace. Jimmy Ball, into the league then straight out again- last time I saw him he was charging around Solihull Moors midfield like a big red-faced farmhand, getting himself sent off. Or even Warburton, who looked surely ready to step up and be a real success in the league but is now back at our level. I don't know how much of that is down to the previous manager's renowned ability to improve players (at least until they left).. and how much might be just down to there being some players who only ever seen to shine in one shirt/one place and time. It probably happens all over the place, but the County ones of course stick out like a sore thumb to us.

James Ball went to Stevenage in 2018 - scored 3 in 18 appearances before moving to Ebbsfleet then heading off to Solihull.

If he had put the majority of his chances away reid would not be playing non league football now. Thats the reason why stretton is in a championship squad and not with us. It’s not simply because he has access to Championship Grade training facilities, then? Asking for a friend… ;) It's because no non league club has put a cheeky bid in, if they did he'd be off down 3 divisions like a shot
