I’m not blaming the fans, just stating a fact, it’s 7 games in , and if this board is anything to go by, the fans have had enough of a manager who has only been in the job 10 months. Have you heard of Hofstadter’s law? : ‘it always takes longer than you expect, even when you take into account Hofstadter’s law’, this is why I won’t be jumping for joy if/when Rusk gets sacked and I fear it will be the undoing of the club, this demand for immediate success, not just from the supporters but everything and everyone around the club. It’s not 7 games though is it? We’ve been sliding down in quality since he came in and he shows no sign of having any idea how to turn it round. If he was trying new things, different shapes, different ways of playing, then I’d be more than happy for him to get more time but he isn’t. He’s sticking to one way of playing and is then confused when it doesn’t work. That’s why I think we need to cut our losses because he’s not even learning on the job. Sliding in quality, certainly the latter games of last season were well below par, but Rusk’s and Jim’s spells with this set of players were mirror images of each other. We’ve tried to rectify that with what appeared to be good signings, the key signing being crocked after 10 mins. We’ve certainly gone backwards this season, I can’t argue with that, but would it always be like that? I suppose we’ll never know, it feels almost inevitable that a change is coming, there will no doubt be celebrations, it may even do the trick, but I just find the whole thing, right from Jim’s sacking to this as very sad.

Yes we do know because he’s admitted he doesn’t know what’s wrong and refuses to change anything.

Barnet and Aldershot have both sacked their managers this morning. I’d say we’re underperforming vs expectation more than they are so don’t know why we’re yet to announce.

And Warburton continues to haunt us Though the general consensus was that we didn't want him back, we'd moved on from needing to sign ex-Players / needed better, etc. Yes, to be fair people always got battered on here for 'obsession' over signing former players.

Definitley not that tit Keith Hill. Can't stand the try hard tw*t. My choice would be Phil Parkinson at Altrincham. Great coach, plays good football, knows this level. Question mark would be if he could take it up the levels if we got up to the FL but he would deserve the opportunity if he got us up. He would be my choice too.

I wonder how training is going this morning.. Hinchliffe to Hogan to Palmer to Barclay to Palmer to Hinchliffe to hoof out of play. Madden and Reid can take a break until this afternoon while Rooney relaxes in the sauna.

Sad thing is that Madden and Reid appear to work well together in the infrequent moments the ball makes it to them on the deck.

With Barnet and Aldershot now looking for a new manager they may well pick someone who may have been in the running for us should Rusk eventually go.
