The Khan that beat Marcos Maidana, Zab Judah and Devon Alexander beats the best of Kell Brook. Disagree. People throw out those three names like they’re some kind of massive wins. Judah had already lost six times when he fought Khan. Maidana wasn’t yet the Maidana that ran Floyd close. Alexander was an average bum. Prime Kell Brook is schooling Shaun Porter in his own backyard. Porter an unbeaten champion at the time and still one of the best welterweights when he recently retired. Problem is, nobody can another opponent of note that Brook beat except Porter. He followed up that win by fighting Jo Jo Dan and Frankie Gavin. He beat Matthew Hatton to go 28-0 and he went 26-0 against some bloke without a Wikipedia page. Brook's record is massively padded. It's the epitome of Matchroom booking.

Should have followed that Porter win with more big fights in the States. Spence would have been a career defining win but he got beat. I thought he went toe to toe with a prime GGG until he couldn’t see. Did the stabbing come after that? Can’t remember. At least he put up a decent fight against Crawford. Khan barely threw a punch.

Did Brook really put gloves on whilst in the ring? Is that common?

Can't remember on the stabbing. Brook just never followed up that Porter win and that stuck with me as a sign that Hearn didn't fancy putting him in there. It's always felt that Brook needed Khan more than Khan needed Brook too; whenever this fight fell through before, Khan would just go and get another high profile fight that left Brook oj the back foot. We'll see what happens here; do fancy Khan though.

A proper schooling there from Brook. Only ever one winner from the first bell

Agree though. Seemed a bit too soon but somewhat just postponing the inevitable

Would be baying for blood in the states if they stopped a fight like that

Embarrassing performance from Khan. History will remember Brook as the better fighter.

Agree though. Seemed a bit too soon but somewhat just postponing the inevitable Yeah, probably was. Just seemed an odd moment to jump in; Khan didn't seem in that much trouble there. It's painfully obvious when Khan's genuinely hurt as his legs start doing the Charleston. He didn't seem done there.

Could have let it go for a bit but he took a pasting in the previous round, got wobbled by a jab as soon as the round began and spent a minute getting battered without throwing anything back. Can't complain really, he was going to lose so what do you do? Leave him to take a load more punishment and get sparked out for the sake of it?

Genuinely baffled by people who thought Khan was going to win that. I don’t think Brook gets enough respect in the UK. He got a lot of respect over here when he beat Porter and every time Khans been on TV here you can tell the former champions/pundits think he’s a bit of a joke. Nicest thing they ever say is “he’s got fast hands”. In the UK I think Brook has always been in Khans shadow commercially and popularity wise. For me there was never any doubt who was better. Glad he had his moment to show it. Should both retire now but they’re both daft enough to chase another pay day.
