Think Hennessey got most of his caps after playing for us, much like Ash. could be one of the 60s/ 70s players who ended their career with us maybe? Best / Young or someone like that, but they played fewer international games back then. other option might be one of the 90s Finns? Yeah; Best only played 37 games for Northern Ireland. Crazy now that there are players hitting 100+ caps fairly regularly now. Cristiano Ronaldo holds the record with 212 but when you look at the record appearance lists, there's loads within the last 15-20 years who have more than 150+ caps. |

Whilst we're quizzing. Have we ever had a more capped player turning out for us than Olly Norwood who has 57 caps? Ashley Wiliams has more caps but wasn't so capped whilst at County, so doesn't qualify. I can't think of anyone with more caps than Norwood. Am I missing someone? Wayne Hennessey? Don't think so. He would have had few,if any,caps whilst at County. Not Hartford, Best or Wyn Davies either. As I said, not sure anyone beats Norwood. |

I may have answered my own question, but think Bruce Murray may beat Olly Norwood. IIRC Bruce Murray had well over a hundred caps when he came to County, the Americans at the time played loads of games against club sides and gave caps out for them I think that's right.
