My thought is half a season training with us to see how he gets on, with the odd B/reserve team game (are we in the Cheshire Senior Cup this season?) and maybe a sub appearance in the 1st team, then judge whats best for him in the summer. Yes, but our potential 2nd round opponents (Cammell Laird and Warrington Town) have postponed their match several times for various reasons. They try again next Tuesday. We will probably go away to the winner some time in Jan, so it may be good timing for Breki. Then Crewe at home in the QF if we get through. |

If he can handle the febrile atmosphere of the CSC, he's ready for anything.

I doubt we would have signed him if there were any concerns over his fitness, the club will have put him through a thorough medical...gone are the days when the club doctor tested their reflexes & checked their pulse rate before passing them fit |

I think we'll let Challinor see how he steps up to training at our level and ultimately that will determine what minutes he gets  |

I do find it strange that we’re treating him the same way as we did when we picked up Chadwick from Hull. We’ve reportedly fought off competition for him, paid a no doubt six figure fee and he’s an U21 international. You’d think he’d at least take Mellon’s role for the rest of the season. The emerging talent programme produced Pye, though a lot of the signings have been just back filling with players like that Ackeme-Burrell etc think it's a bridge to make us a little more competitive whilst academy is built up as we essentially will need to go through a while cycle from bottom age group to final year scholars to see the best of it as most of talent would already been in academies We now in position to attract some of better talent but that takes time This signing is obv one we think must have a chance like Pye, I'd imagine be an initial period of assessment seeing how he stacks up in training against first team and maybe some arranged B team games and then see whether he can contribute with us now or loaned out and see how he goes He has reasonable background having been through Bologna youth and then produced good numbers at albeit lower domestic level, signing that adds a bit of intrigue too imagine see another striker come in maybe loan of Wheatley that we perhaps know a bit more about his level which then frees him up to go on loan, if we loan him National League we can bring him back outside of the window and he can play as doesnt need to be registered as an U21 somewhere like an Altrincham, Rochdale or Halifax type would make sense |
