We're second favourites for the title next season. Wrexham 7/2 County 6/1 Notts 8/1 Gills 10/1 Could be a bit of each way value on Donny at 20/1. There's bound to be a surprise package in the top 3 next season. Of the promoted teams this season: Leyton Orient finished 13th the previous season. Stevenage finished 21st. Northampton finished 4th. Carlisle finished 20th. Found these odds from July last year: Salford City 13/8 Stockport County 7/4 Bradford City 2/1 Mansfield Town 3/1 Swindon Town 7/2 Northampton Town 4/1 Leyton Orient 9/2 Tranmere Rovers 9/2 Wimbledon 5/1 Doncaster Rovers 5/1 Gillingham 5/1 Walsall 11/2 Grimsby 6/1 Newport County 6/1 Crewe 6/1 Sutton 8/1 Carlisle 8/1 Colchester 9/1 Harrogate Town 10/1 Hartlepool 10/1 Rochdale 12/1 Stevenage 12/1 Crawley Town 12/1 Barrow 14/1 Doncaster at 20/1 seems very good value considering the new manager and the early business they've done.

My tip to go well next (or this?) year is Manfield. They were heavily hit by injuries this (or last?) season. Very competitve squad.
MK Dons will think they should be bouncing straight back. It'll be competitive.

Notts fans seem concerned that they won’t be able to keep their squad together.

Looking forward to see relegation odds, I fancy a little tickle on Wimbledon. They had a woeful second half of the season. Morecambe might be another. Think they're potentially in big trouble off the pitch and could drop through. Saw last night that Morecambe have been given additional backing by the owners and will apparently have “their biggest ever budget in league 2”. Not sure the wording of their statement would give me any real assurances though and it did end with, Please buy your season tickets.

I feel like the only way MKD will be exiting League Two next season will be down into the National League. Going down on the last day after challenging for promotion the season before will have been a real kick in the proverbials for everyone at the “club”.

I'm thinking
Title contenders - Wrexham, Us, Gills, Bradford
Promotion / Play Offs Notts, Milton Keynes, Salford, Mansfield, Swindon
Potential Surprise packages - Doncaster, Grimsby, Walsall, Accrington
Mid Table Nothingness - Tranmere, Barrow, FGR, Newport, Sutton
Strugglers - Colchester, Wimbledon, Crewe, Harrogate
Off field basket cases - Morecambe, Crawley

Thought there would be a lot of guff, but it's probably a fairly even split.
Promotion/play off contenders:
Bradford City Doncaster Rovers Gillingham Mansfield Town Milton Keynes Dons Notts County Salford City Stockport County Wrexham
Relegation scrap:
AFC Wimbledon Colchester United Crawley Town Crewe Alexandra Harrogate Town Morecambe Newport County
Mid-table nothingness:
Accrington Stanley Barrow Forest Green Rovers Grimsby Town Sutton United Swindon Town Tranmere Rovers Walsall

Why do we assume MK Dons will be up there as challengers?

Why do we assume MK Dons will be up there as challengers? Big budget. Not a guarentee but a decent pre cursor.
They were pushing for promotion to the Championship 13 months ago.

Finished 12 points of relegation, 20 off the playoffs. Ok I know Stevenage and Barrow showed huge improvement between this season and last, but not seen anything to suggest they’ll be challenging.

Their board have said they are putting more money in and there will be money to spend on transfers. Their first couple of signings look decent as do some other players they have been linked with and they’ve appointed a manager that looks a big improvement on the two from last season.

Carlisle retained list out already I see they no longer require the services of one Benjamin Phillip Barclay.

Carlisle retained list out already I see they no longer require the services of one Benjamin Phillip Barclay. His loan has come to an end, it doesn't mean they don't intend to offer him anything. Personally I think they would have if they were still in L2 but as they've gone up they'll be looking for better.
