Just watching the Championship play offs gets me excited for being a league club again. Yeah, it's the reason I've been watching it. Northampton v Mansfield tomorrow and Vale v Swindon on Thursday.

From a Google that holds 12,000 so they're going to be rattling around in there. Albeit I expect it's much better facilities. That must be one of the worst stadiums in the entire country. Smack under a motorway, right next to a sewage plant, absolutely no public transport options other than some shite bus, a duff fun pub as the only option to drink, one road in and out. Awful, awful place. Really stretching the limits of what’s classed as Salford too. A very apt place for Sale sharks to end up.

I've been a couple of times, nightmare to get to, traffic jams all over the place. Main stand isn't bad, but the other 3 stands are very basic, with standing behind one goal

Average attendance was a whopping 2,274. I'm so looking forward to being able to overtake that particular vanity project So it would be under 2,000 if they took off away fans and the odd neutral attending.

I’ve obviously missed this with having no interest in League 2 until a sudden surge since 17.00 on 15/5/2022.
Why are Salford moving to a rugby pitch when they have an average crowd of 2200 . Is the old place being sold or is it temporary renovation ? We all know what happens when Kennedy, football and rugby collide !

I think they're just swapping with Salford Rugby League who will play at the current Salford stadium. I think that will suit Salford RL much better.
Salford at the AJ Bell will be hilarious. Those f*cking red and blue seats. And they'll all be visible because no f*cker will turn up there at all.

Are they hoping more seats will lead to a growing fanbase? They can't even fill Moor Lane ffs. The Boreham Wood of the North

It's a pain in the arse to get to and transport links to it are shocking. Salford Rugby used to have a cracking little ground called The Willows aswell, proper old school in amongst all the terraced houses. I bet a lot of their fans miss it.
They have no idea what they want, they churn managers, players and now stadiums over at a rate of knots. All in the name of a "vision". We'll be streets ahead of them in the next 2-3 years, we've got the vision, the existing support and the potential for growth.

I think they've looked at the population of Salford which is over 250,000 and seen that as a huge potential, the problem is a lot of people see themselves as Mancunians, especially those in places like Broughton, those in Eccles and Worsley really don't see themselves as Salfordian, the newcomers in the Quays definitely see it as just another part of Manchester, the biggest problem though is the fact that most people in the area have already formed allegiances to the big two.

Imagine their gates if they have a season like latics and scunny had last season and very few away fans going to bolster their gates.

National League I know, but Chris Hargreaves (BT Sport) has got the Yeovil job.

Also TV related, apparently EFL highlights will be on ITV4 next season and not Quest. (Apologies if Marsden.)
Hopefully they will be easier to find on ITV Hub than they are on the BT Sport app for anyone wanting to watch on demand…

Northampton away will be a localish fixture for me so I’m happy 😁😁
