You don’t think he’s an obvious upgrade on Minihan who can’t make Halifax’s 16 or find a loan move that suits him? Sam is a County legend but taking the emotion out of it Knoyle is an obvious upgrade and it’s not really one I thought anybody would try and debate. Based on their performances for us this season I’d go with him over MSH too but can see the argument there. He’s not an upgrade on MSH who was first choice in his position last season. Knoyle and MSH are pretty equal ability-wise. Knoyle, so far, is a clear upgrade based on availability. Don't know the numbers but I imagine MSH has been available for no more than 50% since joining. Not his fault, but a big consideration.

I remember seeing him talking to the ref at the end and thinking he was sneezing before deciding it was maybe tics as he was shrugging and stuff too. Could be totally wrong, and going from there to add 2 and 2 to get 5, however Tourette’s and ADHD are quite commonly associated, and if I add 5 and 5 to get 12, people with ADHD are more likely to be incontinent.

Mobile phone torches. Just why?? A new low, no point paying for stewards if such people aren’t dragged out of the ground by their ears

Maybe we were blessed under Jimbo with his in game management and especially substitutions… but despite the greater talent available on the bench, Challys subs rarely ever improve us.

March P 6 W 2 D 4 L 0 F 4 A 2 Pts 10 I'm proper on the fence how good/bad this month has been. Whilst 10 points from the last six is not great, it's bang on average for the better teams. Amazingly, over the last six games (as of Friday night), 12 of the top 13 have gained 9, 10 or 11 points. Only Northampton on 14 have gained more.

That was the most I've enjoyed a match in a while, two good sides going for a win rather than two sides playing football in one crowded half of the pitch, the stats show just how even it was and the result was the right one. Walking back through the station after the game I've never seen so many Police, they were holding a load of County fans back at the top of Castle Street and they actually chased some down the station approach, I didn't see any Salford fans so I've no idea what was going on.

Great strength from Knoyle for ours, calm finish from Lemon-Cake 🍋 Paddy should score.
Theirs looks even better. Aside from us being switched off it’s a worldie of a hit.

I thought the first half was some of the best football I've seen from County for years. Energetic, enterprising and entertaining. Fantastic -- Yipeee !! That clear chance Paddy contrived to hit the post with, was the cushion we needed and our first half performance deserved The second half was more tentative and reversion to the slow-mo approach of recycling the ball across the defence and plodding forward. Why the contrast ? Maybe because DC is a defender,I'd speculate that his natural defensive mindset dominated his half time team talk and took the attacking spirit out of us after the break. All that keeping a clean sheet and we will win malarkey! The result --- we then started to play slower ,became more hesitant & risk averse on the ball and more guarded and all that forward enterprise just drained away. Taking off Evans and bringing on Sarcevic ( the Plodder in Chief! ) who just drifts about slowly compounded the problem. IMO Salford were the better footballing side in the second half but we forfeited the initiative and ended up not winning at EP yet again.

Pleased for Evans. Obviously not the most extroverted character but he has plenty of ability and will get us goals if we get the ball to him in the right positions.

Glad he's getting that chance and hope it continues. He looked really good in a more advanced attacking role than where he's come in and played earlier in the season. I'd be happy for him to be in against Sutton again on Friday.

There were definitely lots of daytrippers, in the pub after, we had three on a table who were Liverpool,United and Citeh who all claimed to have County as the second team, same around our section with just a handful of us trying to get IO County going at the corners, for a fullish ground it felt flat. As for the game first half we were decent enough but again lacked the killer instinct, 2nd half they sussed us as others have and stifled us, it seems nothing off the bench really improves us. Has Paddy ran over a black cat or something 🤔 he doesn't look quite himself.

Is it just me but id love if we played out they played. Ball on the ground and running at the defenders, either that or we made it look good because our defense wasn't great in the way we just allowed them to run and run until they get in the box which is something we've done for a couple weeks. We've turned into abit of long ball team at times.

I did enjoy the game and it did sum up where our style is different from others We look stiff and lack pace They moved quicker and moved the ball quicker We do tend towards long balls their forward balls were shorter They had a bit more possession than us But we did penetrate the goal area far more than them. Can’t quite understand why Knoyle wasn’t given even more license to attack from the right. They had little answer to that. Croasdale is an absolute star Rydel had a better game as the game wore on after a poor start he was inches away from winning the game with free kick and a potential header at the death.

If we can get Collar fit, then Croasdale, Evans and Collar in the midfield with Hippo at LWB is how I’d set up. Evans has showed good ability to move us forward and pop up in good areas.
