It’s a straight forward bonus arrangement I really don't see the controversy, it's not as if it was to the team's detriment. Had a conversation with Roger Wylde at a recent event and he asked me my opinion on Jim. Roger said jim was taking massive cuts of the players when sold. And the year we went into admin according to Roger Jim wouldn't let them take his Mrs off the books because it would affect his child benefits. Roger Wylde didn't have a good word to say about him. HICBC didn’t come in until two or three years after admin, so there might well have been a reason for him not wanting them to do it, but it wouldn’t have been that.

It was certainly something along them lines. The club wanted to cut costs and Roger said he begged the club to keep her on the books.

Wasn't Rodger Wylde on a salary massively out of kilter to the rest of the club by the time he left himself?

There are a lot of staff and players always willing to have a dig at Jim and it's always those who seem to want to be "one of the lads" it's rarely the hard working types like Tommy Rowe, Turnbull and Pilkington.

Not exactly - Gary Dicker / Michael Rose are examples of superb professionals who'd be hard pressed to have a good word to say about Jim.

My opinion of Rodger Wylde decreased significantly after I'd read his book Why? not arguing, just curious why you thought that?

Don’t lock the thread yet Slomas will be back sometime to back up the ‘feathered his nest’ allegation I'd imagine he's on about Jim getting a percentage of profits on transfers but I can't even be arsed to have the argument that if Jim nurtures and improves the talent then why shouldn't he get a cut? Bergara was on the same deal. It made and makes sense for a selling club. Club shop profits, less so.

There was a running joke apparently at one point that she was the best paid tea lady ever think it was Rob Clare who said that who has never really held Jim in great regard I don't think If someone like Rob Clare doesn’t think much of you, then you’re probably doing something right 😂

I'm honestly baffled by the derision and disdain that people have for Gannon. Contrarianism for the sake of it. People have absolutely nothing constructive to say, so they'll say something just to be seen to be saying something on the premise they think it makes them look clever. The modern world of Social Media. Where a young lady has the audacity to say "we're killing our planet and should do better" and gets death threats for it. It's a bizarre world we exist in. Human beings really are quite odd. Bang on

Terrible deal for the club.

Either way, I’d still argue it was unnecessarily generous. I think we were already losing a % to do with the ground?
